No, that's the way the hat arrived. Forgot to mention it, but its the only hat that I wear outside when its raining. I wear 2 digital hearing aids, quit expensive, and the brim of the hat protects them.

One of the best hats you can own. My wife has one also. What's nice, is that you can turn the brim up and start shooting never has to leave your head. Enjoy.
