Here is a chart showing the evolution of that series. The SX60 HS is on sale at B&H right now for $429, free ship no tax.

This would be all well and good if my old eyes could actually read this chart.

Another vote for spam/fishing. I get emails every week from banks telling me to update my account or it will be suspended. Just delete the email.

When it comes to banks, I find the address for their fraud department and send them the copy of the e mail and tell them I am not their customer and that they might want to check the e mail out. Every time I have done this I have gotten an e mail back saying that it was an attempt to hack into an account.

Lightroom, Darktable, and Gimp are all free. If you use an iMac for editing, you can check out Phocus from Hasselblad. These also include a free learning curve.

Lightroom free? It cost me $162.00.

One point higher than a Nikon 59. If you are talking about a D60 it is a 10mp camera that is almost 10 years old. Other than that it takes decent photos.

I now own a Nikon D3000 and a 1V1(I obviously keep my cameras for a while) and am ready for an upgrade.I am thinking either a D500 or a D750.I already have a sigma 300ml zoom for an FX camera and will buy a kit with lenses for either. Since the cost is not that much different which would serve me better.thanks

The one that you like the best. Since you do not list what you shoot, it is a coin toss as to which will serve you best.

Thanks folks. That makes sense but my 18-300mm lens is just as long as the Sigma and it doesn’t show a shadow with the flash. Plus I get the shadow on the Sigma with or without the bayonet hood?

The 18-300 might be as long, but it is not as big around.

I haven't seen James from Nashville post any lately. His work was always interesting. I hope he is ok.

are you referring to the James that uses the Sony cameras? I think he is James56 on here.

I find that I cannot use iPhoto with my D850.Iphoto will not accept transfer, it tells me it does not recognize the format. If I try photo it will accept the transfer, but is very slow for any editing.Any suggestions?

Since iPhoto is an orphan it won't get upgraded to open & work with the D850 raw files. At 47+mp it is going to be slower than a 24mp file download. Since you don't give any information on your iMac/MacBook Pro there is nothing else that can be said at this time..

Oh but they do. Just check out the girls mother and you will see a mirror image of how they will act. My oldest son always said to check out the future mother-in-law in case you have an inclination to pop the question. What you are seeing in the older version is exactly what you will be getting.

I wish I had heard this before I married the first wife.

Something else you might try is airdrop. To get the directions for using airdrop just type airdrop in the disk utility search bar. It uses wi fi. I use it to sync my calendars, photos, and documents between my iPhone, iMac, iPad & MacBook Pro.
