D850 and iPhoto

I find that I cannot use iPhoto with my D850.Iphoto will not accept transfer, it tells me it does not recognize the format.If I try photo it will accept the transfer, but is very slow for any editing.Any suggestions?

Since iPhoto is an orphan it won't get upgraded to open & work with the D850 raw files. At 47+mp it is going to be slower than a 24mp file download. Since you don't give any information on your iMac/MacBook Pro there is nothing else that can be said at this time..
