My first car - a '64 Barracuda. There weren't many on the road and it got a lot of attention. What WAS on the road at that time was the Ford Mustang ...... everywhere!

I'm 83 and grew up in The Bronx ... thanks for the memories. Punchball, stick ball, skully, jonnyonthe pony, hide and seek, lefty grove, ring-a-levio, hit the penny, put 'n take, off the wall, slug (Chinese Handball). Some of the games may have been local (to the street we lived on); Cruger Ave. "Put 'n Take" for instance, was a sort of card game where the dealer would deal out 5 cards face up to each of the other players. He would then deal out one card at a time face up (let's assume the first card was a deuce) and say "Deuce PUTS one". Any of the other players that had a deuce as one of his 5 cards had to put one trading card into the "Pot". The dealer would then deal another card (assume a seven) and say "Seven PUTS two". Any player with a seven as one of his five cards had to put a two trading cards into the "Pot" (if you had two sevens, he had to PUT in in 4 trading cards). The dealer would continue this for (I think) 10 cards. At this point, all of the trading cards in the Pot belonged to the dealer. That ended the PUT phase. Now began the TAKE. The dealer would continue turning over cards but this time the cards being turned over would represent how many trading cards would be TAKEN from the POT. Any cards left over after going through 10 PUTS and 10 TAKES belonged to the dealer. If the POT ran out of trading cards during the TAKE session, the dealer was responsible for providing his own trading cards. Aaaaah, memories.

Bob Dylan nailed it.

"For the times they are a-changin' "

You can either accept that technology never stands still or rail against its progress.

The good news is ... you don't have to use it. My friend and I often go out together to photograph birds. For BIF, he uses a lot of hi-speed bursts; I still push the shutter to take one shot (I think it's a habit from film days). We got into the same discussion that is going on in this thread. He doesn't care that he takes 30 shots to get the one or two that are perfect ... like the 11th and 14th shot. My response was "I'd rather just take the 11th and 14th shot". The bottom line is that he comes home with far more good shots than I do. But because my good shots were taken with one push of the shutter I am far prouder of mine than he could ever be of his.
I accept that the technology exists and I choose not to use it. We are both happy.

The first photo is the original + a patch I accidently added at the rear of the bus. I certainly didn't mean to but somehow I did and it's now part of the original ... one more thing to fix. I may have posted this once before. If you do come across the posting, I'm sure this latest version is far more polished than the older version. I think I'm finished; pixel peepers welcome.

Playing around with this and decided B & W was the way to go.
It just didn't seem to have any power with color.

Thank you for your replies; I did see the negative ratings but I wanted to "Double check" with anyone who actually did business with them. I think I'll walk away ... just to be on the safe side.

Words like "I spoke to Nikon" "...give Nikon a try" or "and I have been informed" are VERY VAGUE.
Did the OP call Nikon or did he type the question into GOOGLE and maybe tried there.

Launch Lightshot first. Then, when the screen you want is displayed, touch Prtscn. The screen will dim slightly. Use mouse to draw a rectangle around the portion you want.

Thank you. Your instructions worked.

If you are a Windows user, you might consider the little free utility called Lightshot. That's what I use.

I have Lightshot, it is not available when you open Google Earth Pro. If you find a way to use it, let me know.

I want to save the display of a location on Google Earth Pro as a JPG file, or any extension that would treat it as if it were a JPG file. Want to post it on UHH. Is there a way to do this?
