Go to Control Panel, Administrator Tools, Computer Management, Drive Manager. Assign a Drive Letter to the device, Windows will recognize it.
Cool, if you've nothing to hide, why worry?
I have an appendage like that. It sits on my shoulders and does just about NOTHING.
Try Sesame seeds if you don't have bird feed. Or dry toast.
Fences makes Windows 7 look like Windows 3.1, anyone remember???
Go back to WIndows 7 at least until 10 is released.
The tape residue (if any) can be removed quite easily since the tape strip does not extend below the major barrel diameter. The rubber band solution seems less harmful however.
Thanks, I believe I may have stumbled upon a solution. I've taped a very thin strip of Dymo Tape, about 1/16" wide along the barrell for about 1 1/2" and it seems to be working.
I have just received a "used" Tamron 18-200 zoom lens that I procured on E-Bay. The zoom slides too freely when the lens in less than parallel to ground. Is there an adjustment on these???
As the youngest of 2 sons, my Dad passed on to me his grandfather's Waltham Train Conducter's watch ( Pocket ) which I was to pass on to my youngest son. I only have the one son, so he now has it. He, in turn has a son, who will receive this watch when his Dad sees he is ready. The watch, while having some value is priceless as a heirloom. Thanks for sharing, this is what makes us who we are.

They know it would be just a matter of time before another one happens, so why bother. The rest of the world will PUMP billions into here, just to make a gesture. Where it all goes God alone knows. If a new user is going to go with WINDOWS 8.1 then be sure to buy a good book on the operating system and have the 8.1 OS version installed properly instead of the online upgrade to WINDOWS 8.1
Many new users can get lost during the upgrade process due to excessive wait times and they assume the installation has halted so they shut down and try again. This can "screw the pooch" for your systems OS and leave you with BLUE SCREEN or a corrupted and defective OS on your boot drive.

This is a much better way of saying what I said, and it is true. I have rescued more than one Botched Update to 8.1.
