I use PS Elements 11 and Lightroom 4. I can access my Topaz filters (I have all of them) from either program. I however, usually access them via PS Elements as I like working in layers.
I also have Topaz photoFXlab which can be a stand-alone editor for all topaz filters. Yet, I even access photoFXlab as a filter from PSE 11.
Nicely done. I'm too lazy to get up in time for sunrise. So, I settle for sunsets here in North Florida.
I don't see anything useful in this upgrade that would compell me to move from Elements 11.
Thanks for the link. Now I don't have think about the upgrade any more.
I use both. I use the pen for precise work like masking and blending and more. I use the pen and large Wacom tablet left-handed: the mouse with my right.
An unexpected benefit of my pen is the ability to do puzzles much faster! :)
Reminds me of a Hollywood glamour shot! Excellent!
A great tool. There is a learning curve. It took me while to get it right. But, it is worth every penny. There are free online videos to help you.
I bought a Nikon D 3100 two years ago. I enjoyed it. It was very light. I got sharp images and had fun and postprocessing as well. But, the D 3100 has no AEB function. I was learning HDR photography so this function would have been desirable.
Early this year, after reading many, many, reviews, I purchased the D7100. I am absolutely thrilled and satisfied with this camera. The 24 mega pixel Sensor yields wonderful results. the AEB function allows me to shoot high dynamic range images handheld.
I certainly would recommend the purchase of a D7100.
Look for an old Nikon Coolpix 950. Lower MPs and it may only shoot JPEG.
Are you correcting a RAW file? I only experience this issue if I lens correct after PP, usually TIFFs. With LR4 I've learned to do corrections first with RAW files.
I use the The Photomerge Panorama option in PS Elements 11. It works well with NEF, TIFF and JPEG files.
I have and use all of the Topaz plugin filters. Adjust 5 is their flagship set of filters. Start by using the supplied presets. Then learn to fine tune presets with the supplied adjustment sliders.
Their latest offering "ReStyle" is great fun.
I have sold some prints matted and framed, through a gallery. On the Matt I sign at bottom right. I mark "A/P" (artist proof) at lower left and add a title in quotes bottom center.
Hell, it could be the cataract in my focusing eye!
Beautifully composed. The saturation level really works! Is it just the upload or is there reduced sharpness to this image?
