There seems to be no set rules. My wife gets it on most flights (understand the airline can grant a number on each flight).
I seldom get it. I had top secret clearance for 50 years working for Dept of Navy. We both hold Coast Guard captains licenses, with clearance issued by TSA for enterance into shipyards and ports, which we were required have to keep our CG license. BUT when I asked about pre check, was told our security check was only for shipyards, not flights.???
Also, my DON clearance doesn't count because I am now retired. As of a year ago if employed by or in the military you can opt in to get pre check.

A few additional ideas for photo ops and food.
See Jackson square, then while walking to "Joan on a Horse" (the Joan of Arc statue) stop at Tujague's for lunch.
Jazz brunch or dinner river cruise on the steamboat Natchez and Woldenberg park
Two course lunch a Commander's Palace (google to see dress requirements) with 25 cent martinis, and Lafayette cemetery across the street.
Don't miss the Sculpture garden at the museum of art.

Don't kid yourself. The plastic wings wiil eventually crack and be junk!

Just put the cap in your pocket or camera bag. That is also the least expensive method "hands down!"

Eventually?? I have had it on my wire reinforced/anti theft strap (causing more load on the "wings" than a soft strap) for 4 years.
And it sure beats stuffing into a pocket with car keys, wallet, cell phone, or change.

I can't stand the dangling cap, I use this - it attaches to your camera strap and holds securely.

How about the guy on a skateboard that came out from the right, thru a stop sign, turning to the right, in front of me (in a car) holding a cell to his left ear. He never looked left -- never saw me. 😁😁😁 Lucky for him it was a 25 mph zone.
Also today I had a bike rider weaving back and forth in front of me while tapping the phone.

This doesn't answer your question, but contact the museum. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable people when we visited.

Thanks for the reply.
I'm looking at file properties in Bridge and on e original SD card. In bridge it shows date created and date modified.
What I see is a different time for the date created of 1 or 4 hours on some from my D90. And yes I have some with a 3 hr difference where I didn't change the camera due to the time zones.
On some files ( from my old Olympus) the created date looks like the date I transferred the files to the new computer (MacBooks) not the date they were taken.

I finally started keywording my photos, after reading pros and cons here. Currently they are in folders and sub folders by main topic and/or date downloaded from cameras.
I know this will take a lot of effort and time, but i need to find grandkids pics, etc even if in a trip, vaca, folder. ;-))
NOW the problems
- I noticed that in some folders downloaded from certain cameras in my past, the folder date (download date that i titled the folder) is much earlier than the date in the file properties in Bridge which seem to be the date I transferred to a new computer.
- Also, when comparing some files on the computer with those on the SD card (in this case from my D90 which seemed to have the shooting date correct/the same) i noticed that on photos taken on the west coast (I live on east) the time on the card file is different from that on the computer file -- but NOT consistently different - in some 1 hour others 4.
My apologies for the long post, but what am i missing when copying files to the computer?

How about a wire recorder for music? And since my Dad was a radio, and later a TV repair man we had a remote for our TV you squeezed it, it made a noise and the mechanical tuner clicked around to the next station you had set a stop for.

And the one area I'm surprised has not been mentioned here --- what size is your lens and filters? Or film equivalent

Thank you Larry, Dan and Don,
I am not trying to store a backup. I want to keep an updated copy on the network that I can access with iPad etc without manually replacing each file I change.
It looks like Don may have found a solution with chronosync. Update on my laptop, sync the network drive. I will give it a try.
Thanks again,
UHH is a great asset,
Bob

After taking pics I copy from the SD card to my Mac. I then copy to a network drive and backup to an external drive.
In addition to having a second copy, I use the network drive to view pics remotely on iPad and also for "slideshows" for the grandkids on the networked TV.
After copying I review, rate, delete, keyword on the computer using Bridge and in some cases move to established subfolders or new folders. At this point I would like to copy the changes to the network drive. (Backup is not a problem - incremental takes care of it).
Is there a program or easy way to update the network drive w/o selecting each changed file and replacing on the network drive - a batch update?
Thanks for any ideas to improve my process
