I was told after many years of scheduling my photo gear that since I sell occasional prints, they wouldn't have paid me anyway because I was a "professional". I then got a $400 a year commercial policy from Travelers that covers all of my equipment (replacement) and liability in case someone is injured connected to my shooting.
With the
Capital One Venture card, they will give you a virtual card number that only works for the particular vendor you are using it for and you can limit the duration up front.
My Meike failed after a year. My Velo grip has been working fine since except it does not work with Nikon batteries but works fine with the much cheaper Wasabi ones.
I've had no problem with Wasabi batteries for the Velo battery pack. Strangely, the Nikon batteries won't work with the Velo battery pack, but since they are cheaper and the battery grip is about $500 cheaper I'm not complaining.
Strongly consider a Velo battery grip in which case you need the much larger batter but it will last all day and boost your fps from 6 to 9 and you still keep your original battery in camera.
I have done fine with Wasabi. In fact, the Velo battery grip works fine with them, but not with Nikon batteries on my D850.
I had two brand new Sandisk CF cards fail on the first day of an Africa trip. I couldn't use them for the whole trip. The rescue software worked fine when I got back. The Sandisk tech told me to just reformat and use the cards. They sent me new ones when I told them that they were kidding. I hope nobody bought them as refurbished after I sent them back.
If you have something smaller than a Canon 500 F4 II, I would highly recommend An Acratech GP ballhead. It drops over into a gimble and weighs about a pound.
I use the Nvidia GTX 1650 for Photoshop and it works fine. It also works with Topaz, programs that use more of the GPU for processing. I also have an SSD and 32 GB of RAM.
I had a great experience with Yellowstone Wonders a year ago January and will be using Mike again this May. info@yellowstonewonders.com
I don't know, I always pay it on time.
If you get a free Payboo card from B&H and use it to buy the camera, they will credit you the sales tax off of the sale.
I have the larger and slightly newer model, the 4880. The head can be cleaned by releasing the head, dripping distilled water on the landing pads and mopping up until the effluent is mostly clear, then wetting a thin microfiber cloth with distilled water, placing it on the area the head runs over, and running the head over it, moving to a clean spot on the cloth until there is not much ink on the new spot.
Then do a clean using the utility software. The head is probably good for tens of thousands of prints.
It works very well if you are far away. Sometimes the focus is only tolerable in the center point with the extender, especially in lower light.
