Getting ready/closer to make the purchase of a nikon D850. Was checking the battery info. Will the enel 15 battery work in the D850 which uses the enel 15a.

You haven't been doing too much checking if you had to ask here about the battery.
Before laying out that much cash, you might as well look at the free info from the manufacturer.

Your link leads to the Nikon users guide and manual. Surely sir, you cannot in all seriousness be serious ?
I have seen those documents and they are riddled with numbers and sprinkled with multi syllabic words.

I anxious about getting the camera and figured it would be quicker and easier to ask for some one else's experiences. I've since finding out it will work but will take fewer pics.

I always bring a spare battery, regardless of capacity of battery in camera. They don't take up much space and are quite lite. You will love the D850 once you learn how to use it. I've had one for a while and it's my go to full frame camera.

Latest version Rev Nikon has is the ENEL 15B Make sure that is what is sent

Thanks for all your comments. I was worried about having to spend more $$$ on another battery, If all my ducks get in a row as I expect I'm looking at making th D 850 purchase in 3-4 weeks.

I believe the D850 will use any of the enl-15 batteries. a,b, & c. I believe with each progressing letter the battery performance gets better. If any doubts, call Nikon. Enjoy your new camera.
