Yep, easy to answer: Somebody that makes a living doing it!

There have been many famous starving artists who never made a living off their work but were real professionals. Many died poor. So this does not ring true always.

Very well captured.....shoot pretty much all the time in HDR nowadays

Thanks Roadrunner, my images just look so much better now that I have. The key is self control in post although once in a while I go crazy because I feel it on some images.

Since picking up my new NISI filter holder I was thinking along the same lines using filters but your technique seems to work real well without external filtering.... really nice effects.

To be clear these images were taken early in the day just after sunrise. I would imagine a filter would be required in full sun to get this effect.

I have been shooting HDR since last October and started experimenting with long exposure HDR a couple of weeks ago. I bracket 5 shots 2 @ -1 and 2 @ +1. I set the camera to shutter priority with speed set from 1.3 to 3 sec. Spring park images shot with Nikon D7100 and Tokina 11-16mm, moine creek images shot with Nikon D7100 and Nikor 18-55mm kit lens. This eliminated the need of ND filtering and I really like the way the images turned out. I will be doing more of this in the near future.

Blaming failures on the fact they were 64gb is a little over the top, but whatever.

Next time you want more info being a little more polite in asking would result in a better conversation for all. Brands I am not sure it matters as most are made in China and a postage stamp sticker placed on them.

One was a PNY class 10 there was not loss of data but the card can no longer be formatted and files can't be removed. The other card was a class 4 and it corrupted most of the files. If I were to guess it happens during insertion and removal from the computer slot.

I stand by my original statement that data failure and the cost of the larger cards are not worth the risk.

This is only my opinion and what I choose to do. This is in no way to be taken to heart as the gospel of data cards and only refers to my use of them and the risk using them. I hope this is specific enough.

Is there any way you could tell us a little more about the failures? Maybe something like:

Brand name of cards.
Model of cards.
Age of cards, as in, where they new or had they been used before and if so, for ho long?
How did you format the cards?
Description of the problem, you know, something a little more than "they failed."

Blaming failures on the fact they were 64gb is a little over the top, but whatever.

I did not say they failed because they were 64's. I was saying like many here, when they do fail the bigger the card the bigger the loss will be. You like so many others read into comments on forums and add things that were not mentioned.

I will not use another 64 as I have had two out of two fail. A 32 in each slot and a few in the bag is all I need.

Red Bubble. As far as setting prices I thought you did that on all pod sites. Been a member of FAA for 5 years and for 30 bucks a year it is good. They do not need you for the transaction everything is taken care of for you cept pricing. Society 6 would be another one.

I like Corel Paintshop Pro software. But lots of members prefer Photoshop/Lightroom.

I will second this as it is a minimal investment and you are not held by paying ransom every month. Check on ebay or Amazon though for the best price.

Everyone is loving the big hard drives but then you have all your eggs in one basket which is not good. All electronic devices will fail in time. I burn mine to discs which are good for a century last I knew. Plus if one fails I am only out a couple hundred files not everything I ever took.

SD cards also fail and I have had 2 128 do so. Blue Ray is another way to get more on a disc.

You would complain about anything. For $9.95 a month, you get LR, PS and Bridge constantly being updated. They have changed nothing. If you want extras it is going to cost. Why use other programs? You will never be happy.

Just what I want is a program that is constantly being updated. I am a Corel user and love their software. Upgrade every two years is plenty. Went to X9 for 30 bucks and good for as long as I want with no further costs.

Or there is a car right behind you so you can't pull over.

I usually go to the first side road and turn around and will wait if a car is coming so I can stop and do a drive by shooting.

4 more of my favorites I shoot quite a bit. The First one is no longer standing as it collapsed last winter. All of them are on abandoned farm sites and their days are numbered.
