Well I gave in and have been using Creative Cloud Photo for nearly 2 years, but kept my Corel PSP X8.
Well today I got a "survey" about Plan X and Plan Y.
Plan X Lightroom cross platform, on line storage and a "portfolio" on line feature for $9.99 a month.
Plan Y Lightroom Plan X + Photo Shop for $19.99 a month.

Looks like I may be dumping CC, using my standalone LR 6 and Corel PSP + Corel After Shot if they go through with this plan to change things during the next 12 months as mentioned in the survey. I really like LR and have been getting used to PS. But not $20 a month or $240 a year. I will concentrate on my Corel products and get used to them.

Them raising the price was one of the main things many of us were worried about. Well, these new "plans" are just that, a price doubling to keep using LR and PS.

And there I was just beginning to think that my normal pessimistic attitude was pleasantly wrong in this case!

We pessimists have an advantage, if things go well we get a nice surprise, if they go wrong we were expecting it and don't get crushed about it. Just pissed.

Sounds about right. That's why I have Lightroom 6 standalone and Affinity on my Macs.

Not buying trouble, but If they do, I have alternatives and will cancel my subscription.

If they go through with this I will use my LR 6 standalone to access all the old stuff. Probably upgrade Corel PSP and After Shot, learn them better than I now know them and maybe use my copy of PSE 14 on the laptop or drop that also and give the disks to someone who will use them.

I got lured by the ease of working within the LR-PS world and all the plug-ins. Well more and more of the plug-in now work with PSP or I can just learn to live without them.

At $20 a month Adobe may really be getting ready to shot themselves in the foot.

Of course pros who can deduct the expense will continue to use Adobe apps. Unless tax reform kills the deduction, then they will have to either change or just eat the extra expense.

Maybe we should suggest in photography various photography forums that people suggest that they will cancel subscriptions.

You got a survey from Adobe asking your opinion on doubling the price on their Creative cloud Photography plan?? Why would they even have a survey asking who liked the idea of paying twice as much? How many would state that they liked the idea? I did an internet search but failed to find any more information. Do you have a link or something you would share?

sounds like they want u to pay more so you can get on line storage, which I dont need or want...If they try and shove it down my throat I'll go back to my old version.

I have zero interest in online storage. I only want LR and PS and for $9.99 I feel it's worth it. However, if I have to pay double to get those two I will be looking for alternatives also.

They are just testing the waters, you guys are completely hilarious - no price change has been announced, unless you live in a country where the value of the dollar has changed. And this happened March 1st. Take a breath, have a glass of Chianti, and go back to using your software. Or not. Your choice.

It was an e-mail from Adobe with one of those "click here" links to the survey. When I click on it now it says I already took the survey.
You can try it, maybe a different machine will open the survey: https://surveys.illuminas.com/wix/7/p3083059087.aspx?__userid=FB19XHHPV&l=9

the $9.99 plan is LR (supposedly a new improved version) with on-line storage (1TB) and an on line portfolio site for you. The LR is supposed to be multi platform - PC, android, phone, tablet etc.

I you want PS than it is the $19.99 version.

Yes, I have LR 6 standalone, also Corel PSP X8 with After Shot - I'll go back to PSP and learn After Shot with my standalone LR6 to access my old edits.
