That's exactly why I returned the two I purchased but did not open. Got full refund.

Having thought about buying the photo stick mentioned in this thread I went to amazon.com this morning and read the many reviews to find that 70% gave it a resounding thumbs down.
I have quite a few hard drives left over from all my previous computers and thought one of those devices could retrieve all my photos and allow me to dispose of that pile of old hardware.
The jury is still out on that purchase.
New comments are welcome, thank you.

As with other posters I also have fond memories of those great round engine sounds. (Kinda wish the music was toned down some.) I grew up in between a couple airfields during the '40s (born in the '30s) where the planes were repaired and sent back to battle in the European and Asian theaters. I'd be playing with my toy soldiers in the sandbox and an aircraft would fly over so low on their runway approach that I could see their damage and sometimes even the pilots.
We would occasionally find oil splotches in our yard from leaking engines too.
Never wanted to fly one of those rattletraps with one of the propellers sometimes not turning though.
Remember seeing a door hanging off the side of a large aircraft and wondering if anyone had fallen out.
Being part of this phase in our history did instill in me the the desire to help out whenever I could. Really admired those pilots - had a female cousin that ferried aircraft to various bases around the world. She was a hero in our family but certainly didn't take any honor in our hearts away from those family members who never returned.

To me and likely everyone else the most important camera is the one you have with you when you want to capture an image. So for me it's my cell phone camera. I have the Sony RX... and a couple DSLRs. The Sony is more or less permanently attached to my birdwatching 'scope and one of my DSLRs is m or l attached to a really heavy prime super telephoto lens sitting by the door to the balcony where I can grab and mount it on a permanent mount on the balcony railing. My other DSLR has a 17-55mm f/2/8 IS lens sitting at the ready to be used for requests to photograph various gatherings and such in this 395 person apartment complex. It's amazing what all goes on with that many people enjoying life together and wanting to have photos of what's important to them. So bet since you want to know about cameras and don't want to deal with a bunch of gadgets you should use what you like. Also bet with your desire to be a photographer you will be able post photos on this website that are most likely equal or better than any here now. KISS is a tried and true approach to anything!

Don't do this at home...after a boat ride out Milford Sound to the Tasmanian sea during a terrific rainstorm (think photos of hundreds of fresh waterfalls) in NZ several knobs on my Canon 20D ceased to be operational so I soaked the area around each with a silicone spray (the type normally used on electrical components) and left it sitting a couple weeks. Used it for a couple more years until purchasing a 40D.

Did you click the "update" button after you made your change, then hit send.

I will do that next time, thank you.
For some reason I thought that since I'd hit that button before hitting "preview" and it was not checked afterwards that it needed to be the last selection before sending.

Having read multiple books on exposure by multiple authors I have a basic understanding on the subject. My approach is the same as was in school, when the prof assigned "every other one" of the problems at the end of the chapter I would do all of them. Always learned as much as doing the half he did not assign as doing those he did. Another book on exposure from an experienced photographer is always welcome!

Ok, what am I missing - after "attaching" the image I checked the box "store original", then "preview" to see the post. However before hitting "send" noticed the box "store original" was not checked so did that again thinking the original could be downloaded after posting.
Viewing this post this morning I do not see the term "download original" check box making me wonder what I'm missing. Is it my workflow or what? Thank you, Tommy2

The only lights that were not flashing are the two words, "Circus Circus" near lower center. Shot through the window about 2 miles distance.
