I have seen ads for these and just curious if anyone has any experience with them?

Do you mean like a selfie stick? Or a memory stick? What would be using it for?
It's memory stick, has three different models and one has up to 128 G storage. It's for storing images and videos.

I have used a memory stick to put photos on to share when visiting, but not for long term storage. They worked very well for what I was using them for.
These sticks are only ordinary thumb drives and are comparatively expensive per GB, so my advice is to use a standard USB memory stick and save some £/$.
I bought a 256GB sandisk USB drive at Costco for $39. This has more storage than the hard drive on my laptop. Is the photostick any different than any other thumb drive?
Photo stick is different. It simplifies back up for those who can't or don't care to mess with it. Yes...you pay more per gig but then of course you do..you're paying for software development.
My wife (non-tech) uses it and loves it. You plug it in...you read the options and push a button...30 seconds later you are fully backed up with no worries. That's the extent of your thinking and time spent on backing up. To transfer the images or data to another machine is just as easy.
It's not just a thumb drive.
OK for uploading Data Photo's etc., and then downloading from the 'Stick' to a device in another location. I also record TV programmes, and can delete after watching, leaving room for more recording. 32 / 64gb gives hours of storage .

Right. It's a flash drive with software that does the backing up. Some people have had trouble using it - possibly because they did not use it properly. I don't know. One member said it found all JPEGs on his computer, even those used for programs. I guess using the Menu properly is the key.
I love flash drives in general and use them for all sorts of storage and transferring.
This stick is for amateurs who don't know where their photos are located on their computers. Is that you?

Right. It would be like using full Auto or Program mode versus Manual mode. 😊😊

Not an ordinary thumb drive. They claim that when you insert it into your usb port it will seek out and copy every photo on your computer.

Yes according to the ads.

A ridiculous over simplification.

You obviously don't know what you are talking about.
