The easiest way to negotiate the subways is to do what I do. I walk from car to car pretending to beg money. Most New Yorkers pretend they are sleeping. If you are adventurous, pretend to play a flute or a guitar. Since I have no talent, people cover their ears and leave me alone.
I can understand and respect that!

Some things I miss from NY……….
While I am not sure where you are, New York hasn’t gone anywhere. With an itinerary for a week, you can have plenty of photos and experiences.
I once had a Siamese cat. He was very annoying. He sang all day and night. Loved to climb on top of every thing. He loved to knock everything over. He never bothered to chase after rats or squirrels.
Save the gun! Knock the politician down, rummage through their pockets, leave ‘em crying on the payment.

Wow! I had Sunday breakfast too!
I hope you did. If you didn’t you could come over, the refrigerator is yours to search through, coffee piping hot and a handful of Orchid photos. Our wives would gone off shopping. We could walk my dog and smoked some cigars.
PS. Thank you for your service!

Hello all! Looking for some good advice. At the end of a full day of eclipse shooting on Monday, here in the path of totality, I accidentally left one of my camera outfits sitting outdoors on my deck for approximately 5 days, in which four of those days it has rained 😔. Both of them have definitely taken on moisture. What would be my next move on them now? I can come up with some desiccants. Thanks for any advice.
Although the temptations are there, do not put your camera and lens in the dryer!

I’m so glad we have the topic Nazi’s here.
Stop picking on Jerry. He is a good guy. If you keep on picking on him, I am going to throw salamanders and chameleons at you!

A lovely opportunity to have a good laugh and a hearty cup of coffee!
This week’s work load was rough. It started on Monday concluding a two year long contract negotiation with New York City Department of Labor. I will write the contract Thant we fought for didn’t offer everyone everything. We were able to put in place, longevity, raises across the board and have good language for the next generation of kiddos. Tuesday, I was so exhausted that I could not go to work. Mostly I lounged around shaking my head and rereading what we had done. Wednesday came the usual grind of work and constant calls from all asking to see the contract. Thursday and Friday was the same. Many more handshakes and pats on the back from co-workers. Saturday was a day off and my wife, her sister and I head over to the New York Botanic Garden. It is my favorite to see, photograph and enjoy the Orchid Show. (Photos to Follow) Sunday breakfast is a day to indulge my wife, my son, his girlfriend (both from Afton, NY) and I with a nice breakfast. I picked up a bunch of different bagels, cream cheese, Hummus and Lox. I mixed up some honey mustard and dill sauce. I brewed up some coffee and we all sat down at the kitchen table. My son and his girlfriend told us of the Shen Yun show and we shared our weekly events.

Peanut butter and jelly and the unthinker did it for me!
Oh Jerry, and I was beginning to believe the Northern Lights were real.
My wife loved the Unthinker. I can’t tell you how many times she shakes out the crumbs over the sink.

It's not a character flaw to behave as a responsible adult.
Another classic CHG_CANONism!
These are important to remember as we enjoy the UHH and learn to be better photographers.

The other day someone suggested that “General Chit-chat” be changed to “Jerry’s Page”…………
If you want intense, informative and extremely technical data as how to use a camera, General Chit-Chat really has no place in your vocabulary or reading material.
I dont mind investing some personal time to reading about non-photography stuff.
Just because I have a radio in my car does not mean I will listen to traffic reports for the next two or three hours while being stuck in rush hour traffic.
I will listen to my classic rock and roll music station. I will listen to some CDs that I have. I will listen to my daughter singing and playing her piano.
Since it is very hard to put a piano in the back seat, I have her recordings on CDs too.
PS…Don’t be a Smart A$$!
Besides, I like Jerry!!
There are Braille typewriters. However I am not sure how they work. Good Luck with your computer. Could some one explain to me why ATMs in a drive through bank have braille on the key pads?
