Thanks all for your responses. I am not interested in buying any film cameras, just thought about possibly selling some Nikon stuff--- Not interested in the hassle of private sales. but I will just keep them on my display case. Thanks again, Jerry

Has any one here sold film cameras to or bought from "f Stop Cameras" ? They seem to publish articles called "Casual Photophile" I have some old film cameras that are just taking up space. They are in excellent shape, not exactly beginner cameras----just not now being used. I'd like to hear from any one who has actually dealt with them. I don't want to go through the hassle of what looks like fair offers, shipping, and then greatly reduced offers, returns, etc
Thanks --Jerry

I have been using the D90 for 10 years and am happy with the results. When one broke down a few months ago I bought another gently used on as a back up. I keep an 18-105 Nikon on one and an 18-200 on the other. They work just fine with all my AF, AF-D and AF-S lenses. The menu system is easy to operate and 12 megapixels is enough for my needs. I have a D3300 if I need it too, but the D90 is like an old trusted friend. The technology may be old but so am I. I am content with what have.

On Dec 10 I placed an order through Amazon from a book store in Illinois. It was shipped via USPS that day or the next, but has been sitting at a "facility" somewhere in Pennsylvania since Dec 13. It has not moved since then and is scheduled to arrive between Dec 21 and Dec 28. From now on I will only order from Amazon if it is shipped '"prime".

Just saw the movie on Amazon Prime. It was thoroughly enjoyable and in my humble opinion, very well done. As some one else said, it covered 2 of my favorite things---jazz and photography. The photography parts brought back memories of my film and darkroom days. I had heard about Smith but was unaware of the scope of his work. The jazz parts brought back very pleasant and older memories of the few visits I was fortunate enough to make to Birdland.
I highly recommend this film to any one who appreciates good jazz and would like to learn a bit about Smith.
Thanks for posting about it.

All the time. They protect the lens. Just make sure the hood is the right one for the lens and does not cause vignetting. They help keep fingerprints and water off the front of the lens, etc

I was with them for 20 years. Now we don't drive too much so the car radio does not get much use. I got tired of negotiating a price increase every year. They finally offered me $5.00 a month, but with "fees and taxes" it came to $8.60 a month. I finally just cancelled. They email me every few days, offer me the same $5.00 plus fees etc. I just ignore them. We don't miss the service at all.

I am sorry I posted this in the first place. Yes, an external hard drive will be an option. Yes it is only a $1.00 per month increase but the cost of food, insurance, taxes, health care, home utilities go up too----but my income does not. As I said----I was just ranting.
I would not mind it if the post could be deleted.

Just got notified of a price increase. I only have it on 1 computer for my images. . 3 years ago the yearly cost was $59.99. 1 year ago (2019) the price rose to $71.99. Now I am told that when my subscription expires next month the price will be $ 83.99. I inquired of them and they say they now offer anti-virus protection, but that is an additional cost. I have ant-virus protection and don't need another program. Carbonite is a good product and is easy to use. But right now due to advancing age, travel restrictions, Covid, etc., I am not taking a lot of pictures so carbonite is just not being used much. As an aside, I am told that my social security will not increase at all next year. Right now I see my bill at the grocery store gets higher every time I go food shopping.
I like carbonite and do not want to cancel. I feel secure with it, but the price hike just seems unwarranted at this time.
I will probably renew this time, but will seriously reconsider if there is another increase next time.
Just ranting----other than that we are pretty much ok.

We usually ask Alexa to play his music 2 or 3 times a week on our Sonos. He was a great singer. One of our friends was related to him.
