Most photo editing programs (PS, Affinity, etc...) have a metadata display that will show you what you want. Further, they allow you to program them to include whatever data you need.

If you mean did I delete the before and after- I still have both and will post asap.
If you mean did I delete the selection- I'm not really sure exactly what you are asking but I did delete the selection after I was done cloning.

Sorry but I am totally confused about cloning vs not cloning.

Ansel Adams wrote that photographing snow is the hardest thing to do because of the inherent contrast problem. But looking at your wonderful images I think that the snow could be lightened a bit. After all, in real life the whiteness of snow is what makes it so attractive.

It sounds like something interesting. But an image of the subject would help. Further, after making the selection did you DELETE?

I completely agree. And I am the first to admit of being guilty of NOT carrying a camera with me all the time. Thanks for your proof. Photos are great and well done.

I love B&W photos but I don't think this one would be one of my favorites. This shot begs for color.

I too have that combination and gotten excellent results. The person who suggested a calibration is right. Look at U-tube suggestions for doing that.

I for one prefer a sunless day. This way I don't have to deal with harsh shadows and highlights. I like both images. They are well composed and represent a quaint scene. In my estimation you have the best of two worlds. The first is a perfect shot that can be converted to a B&W image. The second is a wonderful color image. Go for it. Well done.

With shots like that why worry about the camera system!

I too have been using Affinity and love it. I recently cancelled my subscription to PSCC. Never missed it. If you are somewhat familiar with PS you should be able to easily start with Affinity. Eventually I too recommend the book.

I completely agree with all the above. I have been using Affinity for about a year and like it very much. I highly recommend it. My only serious problem with it is not being able to center images when printing. For that I use Qimage as a stand alone. Works well.

"Amen" to ecobin! Only difference here is my CS6 has already stopped working. I ditched it! I much prefer Affinity Photo.

Same with me. I just cancelled PS CC and use Affinity. Great processor!

I have both PS CC ($11/mo) and Affinity Photo (one time cost: $50) and am about to unsubscribe to PS. Affinity is great!
