Not many places that one can photograph this interesting structure. Took the images from one of the "recommended" locations but had an interesting time with Security. Anyone visiting LV at some stage in the future, and thinking of photographing this structure send me a PM and I will happy to share our experience.
Can't disagree with the sentiments but I would add that the growth of visual teaching through media has been an excellent contributor to people's understanding. Individual learning styles are highly variable between the written word and visual; they are highly complimentary and from a photographic perspective best demonstrated through YT that provides a wealth of (free) content from many highly experienced contributors.

My energy provider increased our rates as of Jan 1 by 18%, so got a quote for solar panels on my 1200 sq ft house. My HOA does allow this with some very reasonable aesthetic restrictions. (We have a great HOA!)
The presentation was very comprehensive and convincing. The cost came to a little over $11,000 AFTER state and federal incentives. I could pay cash or finance at 3.99% for 25 years for a monthly payment of $124.00.
The presentation factored in the months when I would not pay anything to my energy provider (7 months/year) and I would pay a small amount to the energy provider the other (colder or hotter) 5 months. This energy provider does not "buy back" if one uses less energy than generated by the panels.
The salesman was very professional and did not apply undue pressure. I said I would think it over and let him know the following Monday.
So I averaged my annual bills for 2023 and added 20% (including all the junk charges beyond cost of energy used), then added 20% to that for the next five years. After FIVE years of annual 20% increases (which is pretty extreme and unlikely to happen), my monthly electrical bill would still be less than $124/month (let's not forget there are months when I would be paying the utility provider over and above that $124 fixed payment).
So if you are thinking of looking into solar, do your due diligence first so you have a true comparison on hand before signing anything.

Good point.
I live in South Carolina and, maybe uniquely, one or our local utility companies will provide a free audit of solar savings calculations provided by third party installers.

Has anyone used Lightroom's AI auto editing? I watched a Youtube video on this and tried it and I was really impressed with the results. It seemed that the histogram color exposures were correct so just asking your thoughts.
Not too sure if some respondents are referencing two separate LR Auto adjustment issues.
1. The ability to apply Auto Sync to MULTIPLE images. See YT video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PNujRqJXJHU ("Parker Photographic")
2. The use of the Adobe Auto adjustment in the BASIC panel to (automatically) adjust Tone and Presence of a SINGLE image. I regularly watch Scott Kelby's "The Grid" weekly YT videos where, on many occasions, he will edit raw image from subscribers. For some time now he has as a matter of course, applied the Adobe Auto BASIC panel adjustment to determine how much a difference it has made, having recognized that Adobe has made significant improvements in the Auto adjustment over the past few years/upgrades.
I rarely use 1, but now always use 2. on a single image and if I don't like the outcome select CTL Z to reset. If I am not totally convinced by the BASIC Auto adjustment I create a Virtual Copy adjust the second image manually and select N/C to compare the two. In over 50% of cases over the past few months I have tended to subsequently select the BASIC auto adjustment image; with other minor adjustments.

Working our way West, tomorrow we head to Sedona. Obviously, Cathedral Rock is on the list…will be there 3 days…what else should I add to the list?
TIA
Some of the recommended photographic locations that we mapped out earlier this year; not all proved accessible in April.

Sykes is not a nickname it is my surname. Genealogy takes the family name back to Skaithwaite, Yorkshire in the 1700’s; somewhat disappointing for a Lancastrian even though I’ve lived in the USA since 1996. The Jack Russel maybe a distant relative LOL
Thanks
As I indicated, the Adobe software guys said they will evaluate the "Ramelli layout" option into PS with access via the RH panel. Ramelli seems to have simply used the PS Library option to display multiple sky options side by side but the Adobe support guys were unable to do so when we were on-line. If Ramelli made it work, then clearly the Adobe software guys will be able to do. The benefit from my perspective is that the existing drop down Sky Replacement window currently covers part of the image; made worse when you expand to three across (the layout I was unaware of)
Thanks
The "Ramelli option" if adopted would locate the side by side views (under "Library") to the RH panel, providing more real estate around the image that is being processed. Unless I am wrong (and I may well be) the current PS window when opened for the ability to display up to three images, covers part of the image in the main screen.
