Is this correct? Photo AI renewal $99 and a separate $77 to renew Gigapixel. Total of $176 yearly?
Their response
Hi Jack,
Thanks for reaching out.
That is correct.
Cheers!

I think that they were just trying to be polite, Jack. After all, they do not want you to pay that much and feel unappreciated (LOL).

I guess I should have told them I wasn't going to renew and see what their response would be.
I wonder how much their customer base may shrink.

Either “Cheerio” or “Ta-Ta” 🤬

May not. May be they get more customers and thus they don't care about the few who don't renew. It's all about the customers. A company can't do anything without the customers support. In this case I believe they have the support. They may have to let the customers pay monthly rather than yearly. Many people would buy into the 50 cents a day thing.
My renewal price is $178 and, for now, I can't see it. Topaz has the most confusing product mix, website and pricing structure of any thing I use. I did enjoy my first year of Photo AI and continue to use it without upgrades.
I think a lot of people are going to do that
Sounds expensive to someone who only uses Picasa, Jack! Are there alternatives available that you could use to continue producing your exceptional AI posts?
What does renew mean? Will your current software cease to work on a specified date? Or are you talking about not getting any upgrades that they will be coming out with in the future?

Thaz the big question for many, in a broad sweep, not just Topaz. If youre happy with what youre using, cameras OR apps, pricey upgrades are really not all that appealing.

Everything I have from them will continue but I will not get any more updates. What I have now works really well and there are always other ways to denoise and sharpen.

Last year I got upgrades for Gigapixel, AI Sharpen, Denoise and Photo AI for less than just Gig and Photo. To hell with them

I'm with you Bill. No more
Is the new pricing? I upgraded last October for less.
