I am just wondering what people are using to process their photos. For myself I use Lightroom 2 (mostly because I was told to pick something and stick with it) and then Photoshop CS3. Please let me know what you use!...Julian

Studio and office computers:
From raw> then Capture One V11, Photoshop Cs6, then Tiff>JPEG. Adobe RGB from camera to end.
As needed, Portrait Pro 17, Landscape Pro 17, various plug ins.

On Laptops for "quick" informal editing: Lightroom, ON1.

Scotland is a land I have visited many times over the years and on each visit I feel even more that its different form anywhere I have visited, and of my 5 recent visit in the last year these are just three on my favourite views in Scotland.

1- The Quirang, on the northern end of The Isle of Skye.
2- Loch Arroch, from the Mam Ratagan Pass in the Western Highlands.
3- The mighty Glencoe with the Three Sisters standing proudly

Impressive!!

That's creepy.
Some "alien" critter at that magnification.
Great capture!!!

Forgot to mention Chinatown if you are interested in photo journalism and street pics. Go early in the morning when the shops just open.

Hey, I lived in Waipahu for a year and a half when I was in the Air Force stationed at Hickam Field, I mean Hickam Air Force Base. However, that was back in 1965 to 1968. Oahu, like a lot of other places, is not the same as it was back then. No freeways back then for one thing. And fewer high-rise hotels along Waikiki Beach for another.

Yes. . . . it is Not The Same.
I grew up in Waianae Valley on a farm in the 50's. No stop lights. Sleepy farming town. No "grafitti". And, no freeway to town.
Hickam was a nice place, cool mountain air. Waipahu, a quiet sugar cane town with character.

Tour?
Rent a car and go to the scenic spots.
1. Drive around the island, enjoy the views and the traffic. Stop at the beaches. Keep it shorter, avoid the West side, from Waipahu to Makaha as there's no outlet. Loop from Waikiki Beach > Diamond Head > Hawaii Kai, Hanauma Bay > Makapuu lookout area > Take a hike and shoot from the bunkers above Lanikai, Lanikai Beach, Kailua Beach, Pali Lookout, Koolau Mountains from the back of the Koolau Golf Course, > Temple Valley the Byudo Temple in the mountains > Circle around on the Windward side to Kuuoloa Beach, then to Turtle Bay Resort, then to the North Shore surfing beaches (surf's up in the winter), Town of Haleiwa, Pineapple fields to Wahiawa then to Pearl harbor> Take in the National Cemetary of the Pacific > Ala Moana Beach > and back to Waikiki if that is where you are staying. Sunsets on the East side off Waikiki, Magic Island. Surf's up on the East side off Ala Moana, etc, during the Summer.
And much more.
If you have time, a helicopter ride offers great pics. Especially on the outer islands, Kaui, Maui, etc.

Challenging conditions going from dark clouds to bright sunshine, and sea spray which was effecting focus! For them a lot of seaweed close inshore, getting into the kite lines as you can see a little on the last shot!

Great captures.
Yes. I've shot kiteboarders in Hawaii. Tough. The wind is up. Salt spray is brutal.
Good job!

The A6300 has 3 metering modes and 6 focusing modes for 18 combinations, not including eye and face tracking. The 7RM3 has more. They all work well to a degree, some better than others for different situations. How can anyone possibly remember which is optimum for a given situation.

I haven't even looked at the 8 scene modes. As the cameras get smarter the dumber I feel.

Incredible captures.
Thanks of sharing.
You're so right about camera technology. I've shot Canon 5d's for a very long time. My new Olympus 4/3 system is overwhelming me. Love the camera setup and manual controls But the brain part is "egads"!!!
Also have a A6500. Thanks for the tips. 18 combinations! Oh my. . . .

Great hummers!!

A bus full of ugly people had a head on collision with a truck. When they died, God granted all of them one wish. The first person said, "I want to be gorgeous." God snapped his fingers and it happened. The second person said the same thing and God did the same thing. This want on and on throughout the group. God noticed the last man in line was laughing hysterically. By the time God got to the last ten people, the last man was laughing and rolling on the ground. When the man's turn came, he laughed and said, "I wish they were all ugly again."

Notice that one of them is already a ten pointer. As you can see they are still in velvet. It is "possible" that they could get another point or two in the next month or so (+-).
They are beautiful animals. I was able to get within about 10 feet, or so, to get these shots, as they know that we will not harm them in any way.

GOD BLESS.

Beautiful animals and images.
