Quite frankly I don't know why you would directly compare these lenses. They have different focal length ranges and would be used for different things.

Thank you for your commentary. Yes, you dont know why, you dont know me, fine. Move on.

Yes I know the 24-105 is a full frame lens. I currently have a Nikon D7200. I have a Tokina 11-20 108, a Nikon 50mm 1.8, and a Sigma 100-400 lens.

Will the 24-105 give as sharp pictures as the 18-35 supposidly does in your opinions?

I am thinking of purchasing one but dont want to have any regrets later.

I do mainly landscapes, and general everyday family photos.

I know you all will give me your views and I appreciate that.

Thinking of getting the Sigma 18-35 1.8 as a travel and everyday use lens. I currently have the Nikon kit lens 18-140. Is this Sigma going to show me results that are that much sharper? I see great reviews on the Sigma but I dont know if I will truly see a great bit of difference? Thoughts? I forgot to tell you I have a Nikon D7200.

Lighting...... Full moon is frontal lighting, anything else is side lighting of varying degrees.

Not an answer to your question. But I grew up in McAllen & moved away when I got married. McHi class of 1962. Don’t know your age but wondered if you or a parent, etc., May have grown up there in the 50’s & early 60’s. Sometimes it is a small world.

No, I moved here in 89.

I had 18 and upgraded to 21. I can not see any difference in what I use it for. (mainly organization). I use Luminar for post processing.

I bought it a few years ago and use it to shoot Astro photography and some landscapes with it. Out of the many lenses I have, I really like this one alot. I have a D7200 and all pictures are excellent. You will not be dissappointed.

Had PE2018 and upgraded to PE2021, I can see no difference in the way I have used it. I have Affinity and Luminar 3 which I like very much and use it the most. Had Capture One and liked it also but they screwed me over so I dropped them. I use Photoshop Elements for the organizing aspect and Luminar for the post processing.
