I have the Canon. 70-300. Yes, I like it and use it all the time. I would recommend this lense for you to start. It is not too heavy and I use it when hiking. I decided to purchase the 100-400, however, when I couldn’t get close enough for some bird shots. It should arrive on Thursday. Went to B&H-saved the tax which was $163. It apparently weighs 3lbs. I have an EOD 50D and a EOS 5D Mark IV. The 70-300 works on both cameras. Go for it!
If you want to clean up your hard drive, get Clean my MAC. Gemini II will clean up your photos-get rid of duplicates etc. I use these all the time.
I have a Canon PIXMA TS 8020 all in one-fine for general photos. It has 6 ink cartridges. I also have a Canon Pro 10-which I think may be more expensive that the 8020. I
Very nice shots! Love Death Valley. Go there every April.
I loved Aperture. Too bad it is gone.
Photos in Mojave is RAW compatible.
Try adding LR to your photo extensions on your iPad.
I shoot raw and jpeg. I download all my photos into iPhoto. I have the following extensions in iPhoto: Noiseless CK, Tonality CK, Snapheal CK, FX Photostudio CK, Intensify CK, Luminar 2019, Aurora HDR, Photolemur, Affinity Photo, Portrait Studio, Landscape Pro. I just go to iPhoto-choose the photo I want and choose from the extensions. The photo opens in the software I choose. I used to use Photoshop but when I got my new iMac-no more Photoshop. So, if you want to use Photos on your Mac, you can add other software programs in your extensions and use raw or jpeg-as you wish.
I have a great little Canon Powershot S80. It has everything my DSLR cameras have but fits in my palm. Takes great pictures. I love it but it is no longer available new. I am eyeing the Powershot XS 530 HS although my S80 still works.
dps-Digital Photography School has some very good information on this. Gives an actual list on what to bring on a vacation. Great site for all things photography.
Cursive is coming back in some places.
