That’s what Democrats do.

??? Huh????

Could you explain that statement? Is that ALL democrats? Is that ALL politicians who declare themselves democrats? Do you have proof of that statement? Do you mean to denigrate all Democrats all over the world? What about Socialist Democrats? What about Democrats overseas? What about those in England? Do you then condemn more than 50% of the human race?

Please clarify, perhaps providing more than anecdotal evidence.

Good plan but it's not the teacher's job - which is to teach 15-30 (?) kids long division (for example). NOT to fix one kid's home life.

I agree. Teachers are already overworked. But we, as a society, instead of blaming the attitude of the children, need to take a broader approach to the problem of education, rather than dismissing these kids as incorrigible. We keep taking money from education and social programs, and yet always have enough money to buy more weapons to kill people. What the f*(&@# ????

If the goal is NO child left behind then the bar has to be set at the WORST of the worst. Including those who refuse even to try, and who disrupt the work of others who ARE trying. Which, I gather, is what goes on in a lot of classrooms today - teachers spend vast amounts of time dealing with the disruptors with no useful sanctions, since formal discipline may only be applied in exact proportion to the racial percentages of the student body.

But I wonder at that disrupting child's home life. Maybe we should also look at the origination of the problem instead of blaming the child?

Okay, I have to respond to this. I admit I v**ed for President Trump. After I say how much apologizing for America and dividing our Country Obama did, and who President Trump was running against my mind was made up. President Trump admitted up front he was not a Politician and he wanted to clean the swamp. I liked that part. I wondered about his ability to be the President of our Country. Maybe he wasn't the best person to be a President, but he sure as he77 was the lesser of two evils considering his opponent!

"considering his opponent" who was smeared by the right wingers day in and day out - oh, and by the Russians apparently, too.

Here on Hawaii Island finally everyone is catching on to the need to wear a mask when entering a store. I expect bare face shaming to become the norm everywhere as this p******c continues. Most stores here at least require employees and store entrants to wear masks. Which leads me to the first winner of the "Bare Face Shame Award", the so-called head of the White House C****a V***s Coordination effort, Mike Pence. He was widely videod yesterday wandering the halls of the Mayo Clinic, the only one not wearing a mask and his excuse was that as Vice President he is frequently tested but is always getting negative results. The shame of this exhibition is bad and sad on so many levels it's hard to know even where to begin so I won't but still...

You need to keep up-to-date with the news! The latest excuse, by his wife, is that he DIDN'T KNOW!!! Gosh, NOBODY told him! Everybody ELSE's fault!

So THIS RESPONSE is the FIRST thing you think of AFTER I made two useful posts? Your reply is unnecessarily nasty and rude. I’m trying to help you, NOT attack you! I guess it never occurred to you that within the sentence, "A friend of mines' son is just a terrific sketch artist, and thinks that a IR digital camera might be something USEFUL to him ... ," it is not absolutely clear, at least to me, WHO the subject of the verb "thinks" is. Are you referring to your friend or his son? I’m not criticizing the potential ambiguity you created; I was simply suggesting that you resolve it either directly or indirectly. I guess that’s asking too much of you.

But go ahead, donald, be that way. Just interpret every picky little word as a slight. OBVIOUSLY, it never occurred to you that I was attempting to get you to flesh out more details about this sketch artist, as User ID did make at least one good point.
So THIS RESPONSE is the FIRST thing you think of A... (show quote)

So when you are wrong you attack the person who points that out. Sounds like a politician. Isn't it easier to say "Whoops, you're right, sorry about that" Is that a guy thing or just a person who has very low self-confidence?
