The only way that I am "forced" to go to Walmart is if they are the only store in town that carries what I need and then only if I can't get it from Amazon.

I absolutely do not like Wally World. I blame them for the current state of our dependence upon China--trying to sell cheap goods for some instead of quality goods for all. If they had stuck with USA suppliers back 50 years ago, there would not be the overabundance of cheap Chinese crap.

Here on Hawaii Island finally everyone is catching on to the need to wear a mask when entering a store. I expect bare face shaming to become the norm everywhere as this p******c continues. Most stores here at least require employees and store entrants to wear masks. Which leads me to the first winner of the "Bare Face Shame Award", the so-called head of the White House C****a V***s Coordination effort, Mike Pence. He was widely videod yesterday wandering the halls of the Mayo Clinic, the only one not wearing a mask and his excuse was that as Vice President he is frequently tested but is always getting negative results. The shame of this exhibition is bad and sad on so many levels it's hard to know even where to begin so I won't but still...

Isn't it a bit myopic to blame only Wallmart for our dependence on China for cheap products?

Yeah, but it seems to take a population at least 3 generations (4 for politicians) to understand the big picture and how one thing impacts another, the law of unintended consequences, et cetera.

Golly gee whiz. I never knew Walmart was the ONLY store that sold Chinese manufactured goods. Now I am wondering if Target, Costco, Sams, Penney’s, Sears and a hundred other stores sell Chinese made items. I wonder about Amazon too.

I guess the fact Walmart is one of the biggest employers in America, offering employment to thousands of people across America in areas where other stores won’t open might be a Positive for Americans.

I know you must be absolutely correct in that it is probably ONLY Conservatives that don’t wear masks. OK well that was before I saw Nancy Pelosi hugging and kissing total strangers a short while ago. Oh, did I mention she was not wearing a mask either. You must not have seen that all over the news. How funny Pence not wearing a mask bothers you but Pelosi not wearing a mask doesn’t evoke any problem from you.

Do you think amazon is a different in their source than Walmart?

I think there was an unmentioned aspect of V-P Mike Pence not wearing a mask: he wanted to be seen and recognized as who he is, giving hope and a sense of purpose to those he visited. Any similarly-built mask-wearing government functionary could pose as the V-P for a photo op.

With respect that would be a hell of a stretch. Surely someone would question the absence of the Secret Service members, the initial protocol of the White House coordinating with wherever Pence goes. You know, these pesky little security checks that help keep our POTUS and VPOTUS safe.
