Focus ONCE on your object of choice - for me that was almost always a Lake Michigan Lighthouse, then set your focus to manual.

Rotate your camera straight up and meter on the sky at 90 degrees vertical from the sun. This will set your exposure to the surrounding landscape and will slightly burn the sun. Then, if you bracket from this point, you will have an excellent set for HRD.

Face it, Cameras are like guns! It was not you that shot those pictures, it was your camera and the Google Android operating system. They own those pictures not you and they will tellyou when and how you can see the photos their OS took.

You REALLY thought you took those pictures?

I have a Wacom that I have had for probably 15 years (about 3 X 5"), and it still works with windows and works fine. I see there are several tablets listed on ebay at very reasonable prices. Do your homework and see what you can get.

Photography is about as close to marrying Art with Technology as you can get; it is a left brain/right brain exercise! Remember, 20-25% read and study, 75-80% in the environment shooting. Ansel Adams would sometimes sit behind his camera for a whole day and not pull the trigger, Digital is not like that! See it; Shoot it. Then evaluate and discard 70-98% of what you shoot - but evaluate every shot before you discard. Digital also has the advantage of not needing that little book to record the f stop and shutter speed and other settings - use the EXIF to evaluate your shooting.

For those that use a head with a monopod, do you always maintain the pod shaft vertical or do you combine the 2-pi motion of the monopod with the 2-pi motion of the tripod head.

I chuckle when I see some of our folks complaining about filling up storage cards and drives with high MegaPixel images. A TB Drive will hold 10,000 100MB Images, and a storage rack holding 20 10TB drives (2 million images) will easily set on top of (one of) the five drawer file cabinets we have a few thousand images stored in.

I find it impossible to drive across the Straights of Mackinac with out stopping for a few photos. This time I was coming back from Sault Ste Marie, so the first one if from the Paradise side of the bridge, and the latter ones are from the Hell side - where the trolls live.

User guide? Manual? What are those? Is that the paperwork in the box we throw away before we try and figure out how to turn the D___ thing on?

There are a few tutorials and reviews on Youtube that may help you.

The above link will lead you to a deeply discounted price for PSP 2019 Ultimate.

$25 for PSP 2019, PLUS Aftershot 3 and Photo Mirage, and Perfectly Clear, and Painter Essentials ver 6.

Note this is the price for the full version, and thus, the next version upgrade will justify paying this price today. Normally, Corel discounts PSP the month before a new version roll out, but this is about 4 months early for that. Each of the add on programs is worth more than the package price.

I have been convinced over the years that all diets declare the author's favorite food as good for you and those items the author dislikes are bad for you.

My Navy boot camp company was formed up on December 7, 1962, and I will not forget the commanding officer telling us that because our company was formed on that day, we were charged with the responsibility to ensure that no American ever forgets this day. Your pictures of the tears of Arizona (BB 39) does that in a beautiful way.
