I actually just bought my wife a Fujifilm XP120 for Christmas. She hasn’t been able to use it yet with house guests finally leaving yesterday. Dust proof, freeze proof (14 deg F), and waterproof to 65’. 16mp also, and AUTO mode switches between modes automatically, Macro, etc...

So many other features she’ll probably never explore. Her last non-waterproof camera met it’s demise when she went for a swim in a pool in Mexico and forgot she had it attached to her.

Most of the time I just use the regular controls (Arrows and OK), but on occasion I do use the touch screen. picking colors for Selective Color is probably when I use the touch screen the most, followed by In Camera Overlay, and In Camera Raw Editing, which isn't a huge amount of time.

I do use the swing out option almost all of the time, shooting from different angles (Very low to the ground, or over my head), and the amount of information I can get from the screen is a lot easier to read than what I get through the viewfinder.

Nice option (Touch Screen) when you need it, but most of the time, for me anyway, it's like having an extra trigger on a gun, when one will suffice.

I just ran into this problem with my Windows PC. One of the latest updates to my iPad caused it to use the HEIC format, which worked well with my iPhone and iPad sharing, but was totally unable to load the HEIC formatted photo into Elements 2018. I found an online file converter site for my Windows computer, and tried it out. Rather than the nice crisp image my iPhone had captured, I had a very low quality, almost claymation picture of my friend's daughter.

No thanks, I'm sticking with the "Most Compatible" JPG format.

I have the D5500 and bought the ProOPTIC Glass Screen Protector for the Nikon D5300 & D5500. I assume this company makes one for the D5600 (not sure if this one fits the D5600).

I am STILL very happy with it almost a year later. My review of it is listed as ‘The Most Popular Positive Review’ on the link below. It works, and is easy to clean without fear of scratching anything.

Possibly a firmware update for your camera is or will be available.

Every time I show photos with selective color to people not involved with photography, they love the effect! The only places where I see anyone complaining about it being overdone, or almost blasphemy, are photography forums. I like the effect!

Is it actually switching to single shot mode, or have you outrun the buffer? If you are shooting in RAW or RAW/JPG it's easy to outrun the buffer, as it slows down to save the photos to the SD card. Just a thought...

If that is the problem, try just shooting in JPG mode for shots you want continuous mode.

Looks like a place we drove past in Italy a few years ago.

I’m not a Canon user, but if you were shooting under fluorescent lights that may be the problem. Check your manual for fluorescent flicker control. Just a guess.

Thanks. I watched an interiors photographer use his iPad to shoot and he could change exposure settings. Must have some software for that.

That would be nice!

It is a camera to smart device only.

I use it a lot to transfer to my phone or iPad, and then iMessage from the phone/iPad to others.

I have used it outside, setting the camera on a tripod by our birdhouse and feeder. Birds don’t care that a camera and tripod are there, so I can get some up close pictures. WMU allows me to see what I am taking a picture of from my smart device, but doesn’t allow me to zoom, or change settings. It also shuts off in fifteen minutes to preserve the battery.

Works like an IR remote but again, allows me to see what exactly is in the frame.

The password setting is in the WMU app once you have reset the camera WiFi.

After you reset the camera WiFi, turn WiFi on (on the camera). Then on you smart phone go to settings and then WiFi. Choose the Nikon WiFi among the ones listed.

Start WMU on your smart phone, and choose the sprocket in the corner.

WiFi will be an open network at this point

You can then change all of the settings once connected, password, camera ISP name, security type (to make it a closed/password only network).

Should work after that just by activating the WiFi on the camera, and starting WMU on your smart phone.

disregard my previous post. When it is reset on the camera, you have to find the camera network in your smart device settings/WiFi. choose that network (your camera's), then start WMU, Choose settings (little wheel in the corner and go from their).

Follow the directions in your reference manual. Sorry about that. Jumped the gun!
