Why is part of my comment red/underlined ?
I was a police officer in a large Cal. city that held annual contests for painting and decorating fire hydrants....as did
some other cities. It saved the city the expense of painting them.
I don't think they are ugly. (not my photos but don't know who to credit.
This story may not be 'whacky' but is a little out of the ordinary military experience.
I was a radioman on diesel/electric submarines during the Vietnam era. One of my skippers was creative in entertaining the crew. Unlike nuclear submarines we often traveled on the surface. We once stopped and had swim call in the Marianas trench....the deepest spot in all oceans. (if Mt Everest were in there it would still be a mile below the surface)
We also swam at the intersection of the equator and the international dateline....thus being initiated as 'Shellbacks' and The Order of the Golden Dragon at one time.
Our submariner's motto.......Pride runs deep !
If you are using the little manual that came with the camera it is totally insufficient. It is best to download the full and complete manual that is in the software that you got with it.
It will make a loop around Sacramento tomorrow, Fri 22,

The only movie I have been to where every stood and applauded at the end. Of course, I live in a red county.
I bought one yesterday. My only complaint is I have to strain to see the image in the optical viewfinder. Maybe it's just my own eye problem
George Washington had the most difficult decision when
he came to cross the Deleware. It was row versus wade.
What if you get scared half to death twice? If a dyslectic person is cross eyed can he read?
Ditto with the previous three readers.
You should Google 'Sago Palm Toxicity' That plant can
be fatally toxic to pets or people. I have had the same
plant for years and only recently learned this. It causes
the most horrible reactions in dogs. By the way, if it
is worth a thousand dollars.....boy do I have a deal for
someone.
