Itās my understanding that using āOrientalā to refer to people is outdated. āOrientalā is used to refer to objects and āAsianā is the preferred term for people.

A friend of mine wears glasses for distance but not for reading. Sheās having cataracts removed and will now need the glasses for reading but not for distance.

I have a hard time watching the series. Iām one of the lucky vets whose war time experience was uneventful but it wasnāt so lucky for my older relatives in WWII and Korea, my peers in Vietnam or those currently in harms way. For me, and for many others, watching āMastersā¦ā invokes a ābut for the grace of Godā feeling. As accurate as āMastersā¦ā and its predecessors attempt to be, itās impossible to replicate what these men and women experienced during their service and, for many, the rest of their lives.

I knew my rounded numbers would be off. The 2430 games for the 2024 season are spread over 186 days so that works out to 91 games per week on average not counting rain outs, double headers etc.

It can be difficult for others as well. My wife is a second grade teacher and was selected for a jury pool in a child molestation case. She told the judge she didnāt think she could present an un-biased opinion and was excused.
