Paid my $97 (reflects a 35% savings for being military retiree) + sales tax yesterday for the 2024 regular season of MLB.tv

Help me with the math: there are 30 teams and they play 162 games in six months. Is that 90 contests per week?

Let the party begin!

The subscription is a major bargain for baseball viewers. You have access to most of the games live, and can even choose which team's broadcast. Your local team (for me, the Mariners) and ESPN Sunday Night aren't available 'til the next day. A couple per week are blocked totally for exclusive rights by other networks.

Last year I stopped signing up for MLB TV. In the NY area, you can’t watch the NY Mets because YouTube Tv dropped SNY. The wife is a Mets fan. I mainly subscribed because I’m a Dodger fan. Some of the games are blocked and you’re told to sign up for another streaming service to watch.
MLB TV no more. For those of you who still use it, wait a few weeks. They start reduce the price for the remainder of the season.

Add a VPN to your quiver and you’ll be able to avoid the blackouts all season long. My local team (Red Sox) won’t be in contention for anything except last place so I won’t be subscribing to MLB this season or probably any season until ownership sees value in competing to win. Go Angels!

162*30= 4860/ 24= 202 /2 = 101 per week, anyway that's what I get.

The schedule for 2024, in spreadsheets can be found here.
Lots of games per week - not sure how many TV’s one would need to watch them all

MLB.TV is one of the primary reasons why w I switched from Verizon to T-Mobile last year. Sometime, next month I expect to get the notice to sign up for the annual free perk. The only blackouts I’m subject to are CO Rockies. I can watch all the Twins games unless they happen to schedule a game in Denver. In which case, I’m thinking my VPN might help.

I'm thinking it's usually after the All-Star break?

Thanks! MLB.tv website schedule page has a very nice daily calendar.

Some days I do have be more selective But games are available to watch for several days, if not weeks. That can be fun if you're interested in a specific player's performance, or David beating Goliath.

Do you watch via cable tv, or if have a streaming service, what is it?

Mariners are shown on ROOT Sports. I can get that via cable or at least one streaming service (I forget if FUBO or Sling). But I realized that because I go to bed so early, I really only want to see them live when they're on the east coast or Sunday afternoons

And I don't care about tv in general once college basketball is done for the season, so nothing else is of value (I can get local stations OTA).

4 weeks per month. Should be 26 weeks, or 93+/- games per week.

Oh, OK. Yes, there are more than four weeks in every month except February (not counting leap years), so 26 is correct as half of 52

This is fun! You numbers represent what each team plays, but since each team has to play another team or there is no game, we must divide your number by 2.

Not sure about the 28 weeks your chart indicates. A different source says 26 and a half this year.
