Since NBC is a television network, I would imagine they are using television camera lenses.

I saw in the credits that they were using Sony.

Thank you for that input. I also read that panoramic heads are not really necessary, but can they be helpful?

Sunset north of Phoenix over Thanksgiving 2017. Handheld, Nikon D7000 w/18-200mm, 18mm, ISO 640, 1/125/f3.5, from 5 shots. PP in CS6

Appreciate this forum section, hope to learn more. Critiques/suggestions welcome. I was traveling light on my trip so no tripod. Beautiful sunsets in AZ, and they last a long time too. I didn't venture off road too far because of cactus that seems to 'jump' out and gets you. Next time I'll pack a flashlight too.

I am thinking of just getting a 'toy' drone for now, practicing flying, maneuvers, etc. to get the feel of actually flying a drone before I buy a consumer-pro version I can use to shoot video. Any suggestions?

Appreciate any feed back on my first attempt on a panorama. Suset while I was visiting AZ a couple of weeks ago, they have long and great sunsets, (curious why they seem to last so long?). Anyway, I am wondering if I've over-processed this in PS? I know I probably used too wide of a focal length but since foreground is so dark it doesn't bother me. If I used more of a 'normal' focal length I probably could have had the crescent moon more prominent. Thanks everyone.

I was out there (New River) about three weeks ago and was 'blown' way by the sunsets…they lasted over an hour! Why? Is it because of the proximity to the Pacific Ocean and less terrain? I learned something about shooting panoramas, (not using wider focal lengths, etc.), also it good for my arthritis…may have to migrate.

Maybe measure diameter of legs, height, is it fiber or aluminum? Any markings on the geared extension?

Great job, I assume you will fill in the bare spots, with maybe annuals? To all those out there who think they couldn't possibly landscape themselves…I say you can. It's a matter of understanding the cold hardiness of each plant, its mature height/color/texture and other characteristics then design on paper where you may want to put what, kinda like decorating a room (you can have several 'rooms' outside). Think of it in photographic terms-balance, composing, etc.

Beware, however, Big Box Stores often sell plants that may not be suitable to your area, especially cold-hardiness for perennials. As they say-Read The Label!

I am interested in the 202 Slingshot. Do you know approximately how much shipping to midwest?

Thanks of the comments. FYI, this was taken in Fremont County, approximately 20 miles out of Canyon City. I like the idea of moving out there but where? Real estate seems to be mushrooming. I especially love it around Salida and Gunnison, so do many others with money than me.

Shot from the car, short on time but I want to return to this area and literally 'camp out, waiting through all the magic times of light throughout the day. I haven't been into landscape photography but when I saw the shadows across the hills in the foreground I was moved. Has anyone just 'focused' on one scene and waited? I would love to hear suggestions.

Maybe measure the diameter of the tubes, that will give an idea, thank you.
