It might also be that since the P900 is enabled with GPS capabilities, there is a slow draw down on the battery since it remotely "monitors" its location. At least that is what happens with my GP-1 GPS unit attached to my D500 even when the camera is off.

Hi Dave thanks for that unfortunately I am someone who has to switch on all the bells and whistles! Thanks for your help.

Have you shut off the option for the camera to communicate with your laptop/computer? I had enabled that feature on my D500 and it was drawing the battery down until I disabled that feature.

Thanks for that Ron I will give it a try! Hogs to the rescue!!

My P900 is draining batteries even when it's switched off? I have three batteries and it happens to them all. If I take the battery out it retains it's charge so it's definately the camera that is discharging the batteries even though it's off. I wonder if anyone has any idea what is going on? Thanks in advance.

I have a 2012 MacBook Pro and i replaced the hard drive/flash drive with a one Terabyte. While replacing it I cleaned all the dust out and removed the CPU and put new thermal paste before reinstalling everything. As said prior the screws for the case are different sizes so reinstall them accordingly. This was all done through the knowledge of you tube as I’ve never done this before and all turned out okay.

That's good to hear. What brand of hard drive did you go for?

That sounds like a good idea. Thanks a lot. p.s. it's not a battery issue as other posts show as it has a brand new battery.

I have a late 2013 Macbook Pro that is overheating. After researching online it appears to be a common problem due to the thermal paste going past it's sell by date. There are a number of how to vids on Youtube that make it look like a fairly easy procedure. What I would like to know is there any fellow senior hoggers who have attempted this repair and how easy was it? Thanks in advance and all the best!
