I moved to Standish in January. Yeah the Miles Standish who commanded the Mayflower in 1620 and set up the Plymouth colony.
Some friends of mine who are ex F1 chefs have set up a bar/restaurant business called Asylum.
The menu is based on their favourite dishes from around the F1 world so it is proving to be very popular.
I was asked to produce some artwork/installations to put on the walls and i would like and welcomr some critique from you hoggers! Good or bad not a prob!
The first one "Scream"is an image from the web and manipulated in PP for the glass effect and then drawn in coloured pencils.
This one is an actual gas mask mounted on a sheet of Correx. A nod to the Covid virus inside the goggles. Media was marker pens and acetone to create the colour blends.
The third in the series I called Älone" was again an image downloaded off the web. Media was marker pens on high grain art paper.
Thanks for looking.

I have no idea what F1 means, but I find these very disturbing. (maybe that is the point)
Sorry Formula 1 racing and yes that was the intention. Thanks for looking.

I know F1 'cause I'm a car guy, but I, too, find the images to be unpleasant. If the customers are going there to be disturbed, they will work. 🤯
But if the are going there to enjoy themselves and relax...well, you get my point.
Up to the owners. Good luck.

Why would Formula 1 racing need “chefs” ? Is there a menu to be followed?
Nice work on all of these. The first is my favorite, and it’s a lot more interesting to view than that ugly painting that everyone raves about.
(Let the art critic bashing begin.)
According to the owners there has been lots of positive comments
Sorry, F1 and antifa don't go together. note the stylized A is an antifa symbol, pictured along with as gas mask and goggles in photo 2.
I'm an F1 fan but had no idea there was such a thing as "F1 chefs".
Yeah they travel the worl with the F1 team entourage to cater to their every culinary requirement. The three I know used to be with the Morussia team which sadly does not exist anymore.
