Thanks for looking Guy... he is a Labadoodle with a really sweet personality. He has since passed and is missed every day.

I'm really sorry for your loss Bob and to all of those who have lost their furry friends, it's hard, so, so hard

Sandy sat in the rescue. No one wanted him, ( we named him Sandy because we lived on the beach and because of his color)
people would either look at him and walk away .or they would take him into the yard he would cower and hide behind what ever he could find.
I watched as he would hide but would also be very friendly to the worker that brought him out.

We brought him home and we were told it would take 6 weeks to 6 months before he would be comfortable.
That dog jumped into the back seat , didn't have to be coaxed. Got in the house, found a chair and made himself at home.
After 3 baths to get the smell off of him, a hair cut and he is becoming a very good dog.
He was afraid of every stranger but is slowly coming around. We take him everyplace we go and everyone wants to pet him. He is coming out of his shell and is making friends pretty easily.

The other day I raised my hand for what ever reason. He dropped to the floor and curled into a ball as small as he could make himself. It became obvious someone had hurt him in his past life. Not to worry he is safe and has found his forever home and is loving every second of it.
Sandy sat in the rescue. No one wanted him, ( we... (show quote)

I'm so glad you gave this beautiful guy a loving home. People can be so cruel sometimes and I to this day will never understand how they can do some of the horrible things that they do...but that is a rant for another time. Give your fellow an xtra big hug from me and thank you from all of us who care ♥

My 3 pound Yorkie. Carson is King of the house. He makes my big dog move when he wants her big bed and makes her let him have her food if he wants it. Of course he only eats a few bites and lets her have it back and goes to his own dish. I think it's just to show her he can. He was abused for 6 years before my granddaughter found him and brought him to me. Once he found out he was going to be pampered, he took over!

What a little sweetheart Jo, and I'm so glad he has wonderful home now. Beautiful little fellow ♥ ♥

Lots of birds around the house recently. They're going to break me with their appetite.
Love the Blue Jays and Cardinals. These are a little soft......taken through a double pane window.
D7500 and 200-500.

I know what you mean about them breaking you. That's where some of my extra money goes right now, but I truly enjoy seeing and feeding the birds so it's well worth it.

Good capture!

Thanks nim, greatly appreciated. I've been away for a while, haven't really posted anything or used my camera, my husband of 46 yrs. passed away right before xmas from a lung disease so it's been rough, but taking photos has always brought me peace so I'm doing better. Trying to stay busy and seeing that Hawk gave me something else to focus on for a bit ♥

Thank you so much for your kind words Frank, it means a lot. Hopefully he will come around again and I'll be able to get some more photos, but I really think this was a fluke

Nice shots. I've never seen a hawk (Ospreys not included) eat a fish before. They are clever. They love hunting in yards. I wouldn't doubt it if it found a Koi pond and snatched one if it were hungry enough. Gary

Thank you GWR, I was so excited to see this magnificent bird and it was so far away that I couldn't see what it was eating until I loaded the photos from my camera and even then it's hard to tell, but it's kind of shiny so I'm guessing its a fish. Either way, it was a wonderful experience and your probably right about someone's koi pond.
Thanks again!
