Hi Wes -

Remarkable and historic photo! The most interesting I've seen on UHH!

(When I was in the USAF National Guard in '65, I was activated and promptly ordered to Phan Rang Air Base in Nam. As it transpired, the AF made an uncharacteristic paperwork error- they realized I didn't have enough time left in my 6 year enlistment for a Nam tour. So I only had to spend 12 months active duty at Buckley ANG Base in Colorado. TMI, I realize.)

Unlike yourself, it was too late for me or my Nam bros to see someone like Marilyn.

IMO, there's been no one remotely as hot as her on earth, then or since. I was in Korea long enough to get an RNR to Tokyo.

I know, I know, you’re saying to yourself, “this doesn’t look like a photograph”.

But wait - I took the picture from a magazine using a super hi-res digital camera.

And then somehow, was unable to resist a teeny weeny bit of post processing.

So arguably this is (OK, was) a real photo.

Sorry
This is the same girl Norma Jeane Mortenson. NO PP. I did color her gown red for a photo contest in another print. This was 1954 right after she married Joe Demagogue. And of course we were in Korea.

Some gun toting idiot will probably shoot them. I have seen it before.

I visited an Indian store in Oklahoma and they were inspected often to make sure they had no eagle feathers. They were very careful no to have any because the penalty was severe.

When I was designing web sites the banner was an important aspect of the image so I try to create something that is appealing to potential clients.

I posted this photo on Instagram yesterday. (It is a car in the shuttle that goes from Grand Central Station to Times Square here in New York City, the only two stops.)
One of my friends is always looking at images as black-and-white possibilities. He sent his cropped conversion back to me.

Thoughts?

After several photography classes I've come to appreciate black and white. Your friend is obviously one of the master photographers who taught those classes.

His first ad was tools for $2.99. After watching his use of those tools he offers them to viewers for about $100.00. Without his tools you can't do the magic he demonstrates.

That AF-S 18-200mm 1:3.5-5.6 GED VR DX that Trapper uses is expensive but she would never have to change lenses for portraits or landscape. I gave each of our grandchildren a Nikon with that lens. What a great Christmas present that would be

We were visiting friends in the country when we were teens. This trestle was a lark. We were in the middle when we heard the train coming.

I had been fortunate to have had strong teeth all my life. I knew the enamels were .super strong so I didn’t worry. If my life were a movie this would be a good time for a juxtaposition. At age 92 my teeth suddenly began to break.
My dentist, Mark McCormick explained that Diet Coke did the damage along the gum line. He gave me a prescription for fluoride to stop further damage. His web site doesn’t reveal his credentials but since I had had a little chemistry in my quest for a masters and had attended Princeton University, I did ask a question that I hoped would not be too obvious. “What did we use hydrofluoric acid for? Before he answered he said, “I thought you were a physics major at Princeton!” Then he answered correctly and I was grateful for his knowledge. How many times do I have to be told to drink more water!
