Near Franklin take Rt. 64 to Highlands and Cashiers. Lots of water falls and you can walk under one and it goes over you without getting wet. Very low key town with classy shops and resturants. The summer homes of people from Asheville and Atlanta.
I spent a lot of time there in my youth and brings back good memories. Did you get a chance to visit the seaport ?
