I purchased a pair of glasses from Walmart with Nikon lenses. In the case was a Nikon microfiber lens cloth. Needless to say it went instantly in my camera bag. It will work very well on my Cannon camera lenses. lol.

I like the original picture you uploaded for everyone to see. I liked the saturation effect, it added a lot in my mind to the photo, just by being different. Cropping leaves a little to be desired. The thing is photography is an art form, and like any other art form people push the limits, bend and break rules. If the client likes it and buys it, then all is good. The photo shows good art talent and a willingness to be on the fringe. That’s how big name photographers get that way by stepping outside the bounds.

yes 18-55mm. That seems to be the wide angle lens Cannon puts on it bundles.

You will be fine with PSE9....no big differences and alot cheaper too.Usually the rule of thumb is to go 2 or 3 issues before replacing.

I agree with photophly; start here. Spend as little as possible and get to know the software. There's a learning curve and you don't need to be daunted by that and knowing you shelled out more $$$ than you wanted to find out that it's not right for you.

And there are plenty of folks here that will help you along. Good luck!

I agree totally. Adobe has a very good data base for how to. To help you with the learning curve, I still use it from time to time.

You should look at cottoncarrier. You might think it’s bulky but its not, but if you do landscapes or events and carry your camera all day you will learn this system is a dream. Little pricey though.

I agree 75-300 you won’t regret it. One lens I added to my collection was the 85mm. for portraits.

You did good... I can't help but think what a "black" lite ( ultra violet) would have ..."Glowing" effect on it maybe ?

My wife had this glass Angel in her curio cabinet. One night while watching TV in the dark, there was some ambient light from another room shining on the angel. I thought “this looks kind of neat”. So I set out to reproduce the effect without some of the other objects in the cabinet. I set up some black display board with some cling wrap over it. Then some soft lighting from the right aimed towards the board, some editing in photoshop to remove the base to provide a floating effect, also a little blurring. I came up with this photo. Let me know what you think. Anything I could have done differently?

I am in need of a good printing company for portrait work. I want nice textured prints with a lusture and sometimes metallic finish. Does anyone have a suggestion???
