Marvelous; thanks Roni! A Google search resulted in a few tutorials on page curling, if anyone wants to try them out and let us know which is best

I remember dabbling with "guided edits" in PS Elements several years ago. Their edits included a couple of steps for adding slight motion blur to the water and/or gradients for the color. One thing that often didn't look right to me is the shoreline area. I can't see too well with #3 since there's no download. Have you ever done any touch-ups regarding that, Roni, or do you select your photos based on specifics that will avoid the issue (such as the silhouette of #2)?

I did these images quickly this morning to try to figure out the exact instructions. I often do touch-ups on most images. I have done long exposure images, but haven;t tried to do a motion blur with any.

These images were all taken in Kenya, there wasn;'t much water or shoreline there. :)

Thanks so much for all the kind words.
Nikongal, I don't use Mask AI I use photoshop.

If you open a background image, then put another image with say a flower on top. It you go to the properties panel,(window>properties) and scroll all the way down to *Quick Actions* click on that, and click on *remove background*. It usually does a pretty good job, you might have to fix a bit but it shows up with a layer mask.

Let me know if this works for you.
Thanks again for all the great comments.

Here are the instructions for making a mirror image in photoshop.
I hope I wrote them correctly, lol. Please let me know if you can follow it.
I did add an action on the second image to create a curl. I got it, but have no idea where.

Mirror image Instructions.

Open image
* Image 1 > Duplicate
* Image 2 >Canvas size>Double height> drag anchor to top center
* Image 1 >image> image rotation> flip vertical
* Position the image 1 under image 2

So happy you found this section and willing to let us see these excellent pictures. You pointed out the remove background key, had to try it. Never knew it existed and no one before you ever mentioned it. Found it to be a great start for masking. Went to you zenfolio site and saw your exquisite pictures, beautiful work. Your travels gave you some great opportunities capturing wonderful compositions.
Great work,
Jim

Thanks so much Jim. I was supposed to do a class for a creative conference in TN, but it had to be cancelled. I was going to show how to make a logo brush in photoshop and do a photo walk. Supposed to be in October, but who knows what will happen then. I co-lead a photo tour to Cuba in Jan, am supposed to do another one in Dec, but again, who knows what will happen.

While I have been a UHH member for several years, I just found this forum, thanks to Linda for mentioning it in another forum. I have been using ps for about 20 years. I ran a photography meetup with 260 members. Did some teaching/tutoring in ps. I did try to use lightroom when it first came out, but decided I like ps & bridge better.

Here are a few I have done recently.
Thanks for looking.

Process
I used a texture background for #1. I made the ballerina into a silhouette & put the ballerina over the texture. In photoshop, I went to properties. Find this under window>properties, at the bottom>quick action> remove background. It usually does a fairly good job of removing the background. It does create a layer with a mask. Sometimes I have to clean it up a bit. The I positioned the ballerina & flattened the image.

I had done the same thing with the man, put him on a white background, then moved him into the windows. Both the man and the windows were taken in Cuba in January. I co-lead a photo tour to Cuba.

The lady in the plane, same way just put her in the plane. i did have to do some dodging and burning to make it look like the light was coming from the window in the downed plane.

Feel free to ask any questions.

I'm been using Nikon digital since converting from film 15 years ago. Currently using two D750s and one D810. Have most lenses needed for anything. Used a D7200 till selling entire crop frame system. Considering swapping out a D750 for a D500 for the no low pass filter and reach advantage. I have the 200-500 and 80-400g lenses. Any input would be appreciated.

I have a Nikon D500 and a Nikon 24-70 f2.8 that I would love to sell. I am now using Sony.
The D500 is in great condition, some wear on the outside but inside is clean.
