While I have been a UHH member for several years, I just found this forum, thanks to Linda for mentioning it in another forum. I have been using ps for about 20 years. I ran a photography meetup with 260 members. Did some teaching/tutoring in ps. I did try to use lightroom when it first came out, but decided I like ps & bridge better.
Here are a few I have done recently.
Thanks for looking.
Process
I used a texture background for #1. I made the ballerina into a silhouette & put the ballerina over the texture. In photoshop, I went to properties. Find this under window>properties, at the bottom>quick action> remove background. It usually does a fairly good job of removing the background. It does create a layer with a mask. Sometimes I have to clean it up a bit. The I positioned the ballerina & flattened the image.
I had done the same thing with the man, put him on a white background, then moved him into the windows. Both the man and the windows were taken in Cuba in January. I co-lead a photo tour to Cuba.
The lady in the plane, same way just put her in the plane. i did have to do some dodging and burning to make it look like the light was coming from the window in the downed plane.

Wow. Roni, your work is beautiful. Thanks for sharing it.
Many thanks for posting, Roni! If you'd ever like to create a tutorial, your time and expertise would be greatly appreciated.
Click here for an index that will give you an idea of what has been done in the past. Much appreciated 🤗

Thanks so much Linda, I will definitely check it out. So glad I just found this forum.
So happy you found this section and willing to let us see these excellent pictures. You pointed out the remove background key, had to try it. Never knew it existed and no one before you ever mentioned it. Found it to be a great start for masking. Went to you zenfolio site and saw your exquisite pictures, beautiful work. Your travels gave you some great opportunities capturing wonderful compositions.
Great work,
Jim

Thanks so much Jim. I was supposed to do a class for a creative conference in TN, but it had to be cancelled. I was going to show how to make a logo brush in photoshop and do a photo walk. Supposed to be in October, but who knows what will happen then. I co-lead a photo tour to Cuba in Jan, am supposed to do another one in Dec, but again, who knows what will happen.
Very nice work. I used to dabble though it was in GIMP. I just do photo processing now for the most part.
