The cloud doesn't mean your work is on it you download the Programs to your computer and you save your work just as you always have been doing

Lightroom 5 has been release. I just upgraded and if you have a large catalog do the upgrade at night It took over 2 1/2 hours to upgrade, works fine

I download to LR directly from my D800 and from there go to PS 6 without any problem I only use Nikons software for the time Adobe did nor recognize my D7100 until the upgrade was released. Personally I did not like the Nikon software and save my D7100 files on my cards until I could import them in LR

I take my 500 lens with me and use a Think Tank Airport Roller Bag to carry on all my camera gear (tripods etc goes in the checked baggage) fits in the over head. I do not take the hood but use an AquaTech Soft Hood which lays flat in my checked luggage

If you need fast frames /sec then think of a used/reconditioned D3s or a D4. The 7100 5 fps/ d800 6 fps
D4 D3s low noise at higher ISO

I am looking for a photo stacking program to use in processing closeup or macros of flowers and of course to use in landscape photography. As usual looking for a freebie or a free 30 day trial as zerene stacker, halcion, combinezm etc. ? Which one produces the best final image hue ,saturation sharpness etc. as i hate to have to post process the final image on another photo editing program. Thanks!!

For a free program StarStax http://www.markus-enzweiler.de/software/software.html was made for star trails but you can use it for flowers. PP the files first export as JPEG into StarStax and it will stak the files for you

4 image stack

How about a layer of Saran Wrap over the filter? It gets dirty, just peel it off - something like the peel-off face shield protectors race car drivers use? :D

Make sure you buy the brand saran wrap not the cheap imitations  :)

For email, JPEG is great. If you're submitting an IMAGE (not just a picture) of a keeper, shoot RAW. The amount of data is awesome and you can do wonders with a RAW IMAGE in Photoshop Elements11. True professionals consider "images" they create rather than a "photo". I'm learning.....

I only shoot in Raw, because I want all the information available and it only takes 10 seconds to make a JPEG for email or to post on line with Lightroom

Topic continued from yesterday. I have reviewed many sites on this and for all intents and purposes, this is a Focus Confirm lens. I simply am too dumb to be able to read the instruction sheet, or the Korean to English is flawed. Does anyone know what settings on the D7000 are required to get this to CONFIRM FOCUS? Please.

Simple the little green dot in the viewfinder confirms focus. just turn the focus ring until the dot lights up

from the camera manual
