Rokinon 8mm 3.5 Fisheye on Nikon D7000

Topic continued from yesterday. I have reviewed many sites on this and for all intents and purposes, this is a Focus Confirm lens. I simply am too dumb to be able to read the instruction sheet, or the Korean to English is flawed. Does anyone know what settings on the D7000 are required to get this to CONFIRM FOCUS? Please.

Simple the little green dot in the viewfinder confirms focus. just turn the focus ring until the dot lights up

from the camera manual

Well well well ! That seems to have solved my dilema. I thank you very much. I hope someday to return the favor to you or another member here.

Of course it does. On mine in single shot mode I can hear a confirmation beep when it's focused. I have never looked to see if there's a light but I'd bet there is.

Unlike the Canon, my Nikon has not beeped yet, but the Rangefinder method works very well.

I am hearing challenged and blind in one eye and can't see very well in the other. I have another buddy that says on his just up the f-stop put it at min focus distance stay 18 inches away or put it on infinity and stay a foot away. I have yet to shoot it. I had a chance to buy it for $50 USD. Some guy frustrated as hell and I did not know the lens.

What body do you have? There is no focus confirm "beep" with my T2i.

Pigpen, do you you see light with T2i? I have a 60 D and T2i. I did not know of this feature with Canon. "JR"

I was referring to Jeep Daddy's response. I think the "beep" he is hearing might be related to metering. Even though this lens is fully manual, the in camera metering system still works.

I had a T2i and that camera body did it. Make sure you put the camera in one shot and do not use AI servo.

Please read page 66 and 67 in your manual. I still have the PDF for my old T2i and just read it. You might have to go into your menu system and turn the audible focus confirmation tone back on.

Oh, I just checked. All of my bodies (Canon) do this.
