It's nice to see the sun creating shadows this cloudy time of year.

I spend time on a couple of other forums...Hurray!

Ditto and please let me add appreciation for the "unwatch" and "ignore" buttons - even though they are very seldom used I know they are available.

But look at how many blocks of wood are on the ground at the same time dissipating the weight of all that iron over a much larger area than the very small footprint of tires which would make ruts and sink into the disturbed soil.
Think about seeing very large very heavy bulldozers on construction sites pushing dirt, sand, gravel, etc. around being propelled by tracked driving mechanisms.
P. S. I’m guessing used in flooded rice fields.

Just curious, what was the specific purpose they played? The track system spread their weight over a large area to not pack the ground making them useable in very loose soil.

For what ever it's worth - I slipped a 1.4TC onto my 70-200mm f2/8 and took a photo of the very same area done with the barefoot 70-200mm. Then cropped both images to a point where the resulting views showed as close as possible the exact same thing. The image with the TC was more pixilated than the barefoot one.
One of these days I'm going to try that again and try to do more than point and shoot with the ASPC camera set to "A" while mounted on a tripod. The object of interest was a concrete picnic table in a park about 500 yards away.

Yes, it is stupendous, thank you for posting!

At that same time I lived under the final flight approach path of aircraft being ferried to a major repair facility and just knew one day one would fall on my house. They were so close we could see the damage incurred in battle.

There are two lenses written about above claimed to be "the sharpest". How about a creditable "sharpness" comparison posted here?

Had a good experience with the company about a dozen years ago during a r&d project. They started out making peripheral components for telescopes and used one of my Ha Solar Telescopes to develop their own version. It took about a year to complete the project and in the end gave me quite a few of their products for my Astrophotography hobby when returning my ‘scope. Their optics were superior to the mid-priced sets I was using at the time which were Canon/Nixon level - theirs were easily Leica level. Their resulting models are easily competitive with any top of the line telescope on the market today.

Well now if your camera thinks the data received through that lens is as good as what it could "see" coming through the f2/8 300mm company lens then you got a really good deal! Don't look a gift horse in the mouth...

...good advice - two separate mounting points...

The info contained in this thread is why I try to read as many post on this site as possible even though the title does not attract me.
The backstory here is I finally decided that a carrying strap on my camera would be good in some instances - up until now it was carried in my hand or in my backpack. Straps never seemed to be able to satisfy me that my camera was safe from dropping or banging into something hard.
So after reading a post within this forum several times I ordered a Black Rapids shoulder strap thinking the camera would be in the same position when carried as it is when hand carried. I was used to the camera being close to my body with the lens pointing down, especially in crowded situations.
It arrived and seems to suit my needs in all respects - now I'm trying to accept the level of security it provides. However at no time did I comprehend the importance of that little extra strap that came in the package. I totally ignored it until reading this thread - THANK YOU UHH members!

I subscribe to an inexpensive online magazine simply titled, "Street Photography Magazine". https://streetphotographymagazine.com I've found the narratives covering the photographs and photographers to be very interesting.

Oh Yeah! Stopped my monthly payments to Adobe several years ago, bought Elements (upgrade every couple years) and have never looked back.

I see a horse and carriage, sort of like a horse drawn hearse partially hidden by the big tree trunks. This is like seeing images in the clouds.

Chameleon? Especially the last photo. The wood grain seems to have influenced the bird's color configuration - interesting shot.
