I think the MILC market will follow in a similar path that the FF DSLR has. One company will decide to make a major change in the market, whether it be to add MILCs to the DSLR line or perhaps to change over to MILC exclusively and abandon the DSLR completely. Time will tell and we the consumers will make the decision for that (or maybe those) company(ies) with our decision of what we, collectively, want. All the major DSLR companies have made the move to FF, I believe, and that may very well be what occurs in the mirrorless market. It certainly could bring in more customers who want more than a cell phone camera but do not want the size and weight of a DSLR, especially a FF one.

Look at a variety of other people's photos on your screen. If they generally appear too dark or too light, then that is a fairly good indication that you need to adjust your screen settings or change your viewing angle.
Good suggestion, makes a lot of sense to me.
I have a recording of it on cassette tape and think it is one of the funniest skits ever made. They were comedians extraordinaire. Current comics can't make many jokes without getting crude or profane.
Great photo of a great looking, beautiful, antique car.
Your model was very patient and photogenic.
Interesting and varied subjects for your photos. I enjoyed viewing them.
Nice to see some ingenuity and free thinking from a HOA. Many I've read about are very straight-laced and not willing to allow changes or differences. I like the sculpture and the photos are great.
I did not read the entire article but the comment that "...at least one of these publications did not include any indication that it was copyrighted." really caught my eye and gave me a question. I use a Pentax K-x DSLR (actually two of them) and have placed into the metadata my name as the artist and copyright holder. I wonder how the judge would have interpreted that fact. Would he have judged it was not indication of copyright? Would that suffice as claiming copyright, or indicating it. Also with the photographer's name noted as the "artist" would that make it more artistic and therefore an original work?
I have had bad experiences with both. On the other hand I've also had good results with both. Generally I've had better experiences and results with UPS.
Reminds me of the time Ole and Sven went to the lumber yard for some lumber. Ole parks the truck and sends Sven in for the wood.
Clerk (to Sven): How may I help you?
Sven: Ve need some 4 by 2s.
Clerk: You mean 2 by 4s?
Sven: Yust a minute, I go ask Ole.
Sven (returning): Ya, ve need some 2 by 4s.
Clerk: How long do you need them?
Sven: Yust a minute, I go ask Ole.
Sven (returning): Ve gonna need dem a long time, ve building a house.

Welcome to the forum. Look forward to seeing your landscapes.
I'll need a little time to get into using this site, but will get some photos posted in the future.

Welcome aboard. Me ex-Navy too. Let us see your masterpieces. What branch of the Navy, your rating.
Hello, John. I was a Corpsman (HM2) first stationed at the Naval Hoapital at Camp LeJeune, NC, then with a Marine Battalion at the same base, then with the "Gstor Navy" out of Little Creek, Va.
I won't say I have "masterpieces" but given a little time, I'll get the hang of this site and post a few photos I've taken.
Greetings to all the Ugly Hedgehog forumites, not that I mean any of you are ugly. I am what some may consider an Old Timer, at 71 years young, and at the same time a Newbie here in this forum. I have enjoyed photography for many years, having started slowly while in college, using a Kodak Instamatic.
While in college, my father died and I inherited his Kodak 8mm movie camera. Not long and I found myself enlisting in the Navy where I put the movie camera to good use until it developed mechanical problems and was retired. I then became interested in obtaining a Petri FT SLR with extra lenses. (still have the lenses but the camera has been replaced, with another Petri FT, as the original developed shutter curtain problems.) In the interim I purchased a Petri FTEE and a Pentax K1000 SE. Still have the Pentax but sold the Petri FTEE. With the advancement of digital, I purchased a Pentax ist D which eventually was sold and now have two Pentax K-x DSLR. A couple extra lenses rounds out my collection.
My preference for photography is portraits of families and landscapes, with numerous other subject matter thrown in. No restriction on what I'll photograph , just a few preferences. I've dabbled in macro, animals, wildlife, nature, flowers, etc. I have however not done much in the area of weddings.
I'm looking forward to reading posts from others and learning from the wisdom of the members.
