We live in a planned community south of Salt Lake City called Daybreak. In an apparent attempt to liven things up, our HOA does things differently. Attached are three shots of how the HOA installs a combination light and wind vane.

I like it! It shows some imagination and a dare to be a little different.

THaks for looking! They also sponsor some nice events.
I like it. Great piece of sculpture and good shots. The low angle on the second one is the most dramatic except the weather vane is pointing the wrong direction.
Now that is unique and would certainly make everyone smile whenever they passed that running man!!!
I dunno, Mike. Something vaguely, umm, subversive looking about that weather vane guy. (What's the line from that Dylan song? "ya don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows" or something like that?) Overall, on a dark and stormy night, I might be less ill at ease coming up suddenly upon the pointy-toothed critters on the bicycle built for two you recently posted than this guy. And the pointy-toothed guys were some REAL art! I could tell, because I liked 'em!
On your end, however, the lower angle shot lessened some of my (probably unwarranted, but palpable nonetheless) anxiety, so thanks. I, for one, am indebted to you for that. And I always make a point (-y-toothed point) of supporting local artists! Yea Mike! Yea sculptor! Yea The Arts!

Thanks for looking. This is Utah, you can never be sure where the wind is coming from.

Thanks for taking the time to comment, Angela. This is placed near our "concert" and retail area, so it garners plenty of smiles.

Thanks for visiting and the insightful comments, Jim. The community is in to original items, so we never get too complacent.
Now that is some creative recycling! Cool shots

I think it's very cool. Not sure how scary it would be to come across in the dark, even with the light on!
