Not mentioned yet is the option of using a circular polarizer filter to reduce sunspots. I find them useful shooting sunrise and sunsets and with shots involving water with sunlight reflections involved.

Don't have a lens hood/lens shade, try using your hand. place your hand on a line between the sun and the front of your lens, thus shading the front of the lens.

I was just looking at that double strap and I think I am going for one - Which do you recommend the sling or the harness?quote=jerryc41]Sometimes I like to bring two cameras when I go out shooting. I have one with a tele and the other with a wide angle. I use an OP/Tech double strap arrangement to carry one on each shoulder.

I'm wondering how many of you carry two cameras when you're out shooting or when you go on vacation. On the one hand, you don't have to stop and change lenses, but on the other, you have to carry two cameras.

I use the dual harness -cameras attach to straps just under your armpit, you will have to by connection straps. Works great for two camera's.

If you are in the downtown area you might want to visit the Denver Art District on north Santa Fe. John Fielder galleries is located between 8th and 9th. Has a number of different photo artist pictures on display, landscapes and wildlife, open 10-6 tue-sat.

I'm with you Jerry, I use a d7000 with a 10-24mm and a d7100 with a 18-300mm. When I hike with a friend who only has a point and shoot, she will put her SD card into the JPEG slot of either camera and try out using a DLSR. She is hoping to upgrade to a DLSR and this gives her a taste of what she might be interested in.

Take a look at the Nikon AW110, 16mp, cmos processor, 5x zoom, 1080HD movies, waterproof to 59 feet, and WI-FI. Small enough to fit in any pocket.

I suppose you could do the above + also doing it with a live view on a laptop somehow....

'attaching live view to a laptop/smart phone" - sounds like the D7100 using Wu-1a.

I use 18-300 nikkor DX, on D7100. will setup mode U1 for landscape and stills in aperture and HDR, U2 for motion - BIF on speed 1/2000.
