My Nikon D 5300.
When taking a picture using my View Finder / Eyepiece I Hear ONE Click.
When taking a picture using live view / LCD Monitor I Hear TWO Clicks.
Both are with same settings.
WHY ???

Yes, understood.
was going for exposure, dof, the very basics.
Once I get that under control I'll go for composition.
I live on Camano Island, Wa.
There is no shortage of great pictures for my composition challenges.

I am reviewing the past photos & camera settings to correct for my future photo's.
It's my learning Curve ( besides reading all that I can ).
One is over exposed and the other is a lot better.
I am trying to learn / know why so that I can achieve a good shot the first time.

what is a good photo program I can get that tells me everything about what settings my camera was at when I took the picture. EVERYTHING !!
mode ( auto, P, A, M ),and of course ISO, Matrix, Exposure Compensation, F-stop, AF-S, ETC.
you will know why I Am asking this when you see the attached photo's.
this do's not include the info. on the camera screen that is available on my Nikon D 5300.
I am trying to take the best photo I can BEFORE going to photoshop.
