I worked in Chile in the late '80s and traveled south a couple times (though not all the way to Patagonia). Here's a few shots of the beautiful region.

Great pics of a beautiful place! In my wish list all the way to Patagonia!

At a certain time in the Fall, the sun shines through a small window above the shower, through the shower glass and onto the bathroom mirror. Our only grandchild, Ava loves rainbows and was fascinated to see the prism-like spot and how it moves as the sun passes over and gradually disappears. We don’t know it happens other than to explain how a prism works. Ava was sitting on the counter when this was taken just before the spot disappears. My daughter got Ava to sit still long enough to get a portion of the spot on her face to avoid it signing in Ava’s eyes. Used iPhone 6, Portrait mode.

My son really loves Affinity. He’s a techie junkie and loves all the graphics, bells and whistles it offers. He loaded it on my MAC computer and I’m beginning to explore it. I haven’t used it very much because I need to really take time and study up to explore all it has to offer. I don’t have a mirror camera or even a mirror less one but use my iPhone to take my photos. I post edit using Snapseed mostly but also Photoshop, and depending on my mood, some other ones for special effects they offer. Best to experiment to find your preferred one. Best of luck and look forward to seeing your fantastic pics!

Short of renting, the Z50 was a pretty inexpensive way to test the mirrorless waters. I bought it with the 16-50 kit lens and FTZ adapter, and I'm learning how it works and what's different conpared to a DSLR. This shot (using the FTZ and a 24-120 F mount lens) isn't the prettiest landscape, but had the major advantage of being about 5 minutes from my home.

The Z50 has surprisingly good ergonomics for being so small, and I love being able to see the actual exposure in the EVF. Having used Nikons since my first digital camera, the menus and shooting experience are very familiar. So far so good, and I have to say it's a lot of fun shooting with this little camera.

Nice! I like this picture—I have one similar that was made in Dec last year on a golf course in San Antonio and again in the Spring to see different colors. I used my iPhone 7 Plus. I am familiar with its limitations but I use several post-editing apps to experiment with to enhance the picture to look the same as my old Canon AV1 with the many lenses and filters I had. The Vivitar 70-200mm was my favorite lens—it was heavy to handle but I took some awesome pictures in Italy, Southern Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Unfortunately, most of the picture albums and framed pics “went missing” from my household goods shipped back to the States. Luckily, I carried the camera bag and attachments with me on the plane, which I still have including the lenses, sitting in the closet. Tried to have the camera fixed but it cost too much. Tried to sell the lenses and filters but I lost interest in photography until I retired in TX and when the iPhone technology was in full swing, my son gave me his iPhone 6 and later his 7 plus as he upgraded (he worked at Best Buy). I now love iPhone photography bc it’s “ever ready” and I can take lots of photos of the same scene and store them in the Cloud. I’m constantly reviewing them and making changes bc it’s relatively cheap!

Wonderful shots! I love the droplets on the plant!

Thanks, Joe! After a much needed rain shower, I was walking one of the walking paths in our community and as I rounded a corner I saw this.

I agree with your list, however images created with cell phones
are getting better in terms of exposure, focus, colour, dynamic range.
Millions, possibly billions of photos are taken daily.
Just about everything has been photographed in uncountable
different ways and we see a never ending parade of photographs
shot in just about every conceivable way.

Even here at UHH where excellent cameras are commonly used,
the repetition of images shot is mind numbing... often I feel
if I see another humming bird image et al, ad infinitum I'll go "postal"... at least verbally.

So! originality is likely to grab my interest,

Well said, Dennis! I look at a picture/photo and try to envision not only what I see but what the photographer sees it what he/she wants me to see. Most photos I took a few years ago was when I had cataracts so the color had a slight “yellowish” tint. After I had the cats removed I saw them in a different light and “corrected” the color to appeal to me and hopefully the brewer. My point is I started seeing light and color in is natural hue and my photos improved.
