I worked in Chile in the late '80s and traveled south a couple times (though not all the way to Patagonia). Here's a few shots of the beautiful region.

Yes, it is. I married a lovely woman I met there and she is the mother of my two sons.

Photo Number 1 brings up the old saying, "picture perfect." All your photos show you have control over coloration which helps to give a sense of place. The compositions produce a visual balance flattering to the subjects. But the first one steals the show with the foreground flowers and the snowy peak in the background. Thanks for sharing.

I think Villarica Volcano in Pucon and Angelmo are first ones
Please give us some tech details
Scanned slides? Colors too good to be neg film Unless well kept print scanned
Polarizer?
A Chilean away from there for over 1/2 a century

Thanks for the nice comments. These are scans of large, professionally made prints of Ektrachrome slides. Each scan took 10-15 minutes with my Epson V600. (I haven't found the slides yet; the prints were made for a small exhibition.) They were taken with my very well-traveled Nikon FTn (which, except for the light meter, still works). The only place name I remember ('cause I wrote it on the back of the print) is Castro - the fishing village on an island just off shore. While I said "south Chile" in the title, the country continues southward for another ~1,000 miles from Castro. Amazing scenery, but one needs to speak Spanish to get around down there.

Many thanks for the nice comments. There was (is) spectacular scenery in every direction down there. (The Andes are just a few miles from the coast.) If I'd been shooting with a DSLR, I'd probably have to sort through a couple thousand images; film made us work harder at composition.
