Great experience! I ordered a lens from used equipment reseller MPB but needed to return it since I hadn’t read description correctly. No problem! They sent me return instructions with a prepaid mailer. Very happy and will definitely use this company again.

Same here! Great company to sell and buy gear. Done both.

In the past I have purchased from KEH with zero problems but now there are more choices.

Has anyone had a positive experience with MPB.com? Feel free to suggest any other online stores that you have received good or great service from.

Thanks,

Mike

Excellent experience with MPB! As others have expressed, better than expected products.

There is a new update to Luminar Neo that is a major improvement. After I ran the update, the program would not start in Windows 10. After several attempts, I was able to fix the situation by uninstalling Luminar Neo, disabling my VPN, logging into my Skylum account, downloading Luminar New and installing. That worked like a charm. Probably we should give Skylum some slack, as they are mostly in Ukraine, and they are in a terrible war.

I have never had any problems downloading or installing updates to Neo or other Luminar products. I use Macs, so maybe there is a reliability difference with Windows.

I had a very difficult time downloading Luminar.
I was able to do it, but I can't seem to download the new Neo.
Any advice?

I had no problems downloading and installing the new update. But I use a Mac computer. What PC are you trying to update?

My iMac is 8 years old, manufactured in 2014, purchased used, and I'm to a point now that working with it for photo editing at times boarders on maddening due to its slowness. I use this machine almost exclusively for PS and LR, and while on some days it seems fine, on others it seems that every adjustment I make triggers the spinning wheel that sits for well over a minute. I've spoken with Adobe support, and even after they assisted in making some settings adjustments to optimize speed, I'm still facing the same issue. I've also spoken to someone at AppleCare who was not able to offer any new informations. So, here's what I've done so far...

- Reinstalled LR and PS
- Created a new catalog in LR
- Optimized LR catalog
- Cleared cache in LR and PS
- Reduced the time when both LR and PS are open simultaneously
- Watched the Activity Monitor for CPU usage and Memory Pressure - this does show excessive memory pressure (yellow and red on graph) from time to time
- Scanned for Viruses and Malware

And here are the particulars of my machine...

iMac (Retina 5K, 27", Late 2014)
Processor: 4 GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7
Memory: 32 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics: AMD Radeon R9 M290X 2 GB
Storage: 1.12TB (320 GB available)

As you can imagine, I'd prefer to not buy a new machine, but at this point, I'm willing to bite the bullet if it will finally mean I no longer have to sit and watch that ball just spin and spin!

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide, which will be greatly appreciated.

My old 2014 iMac now runs really fast after I installed the SSD memory to run the OS and applications.

Several months ago I finally decided to switch from film to a DSLR. The last stimulus check made it possible.

I wanted a D750, but that would have used up too much of the stimulus as I also had my eye on a newer wide to short tele zoom...the AF-S 24-85 VR. So I decided to go for the D610 which like the D750 was 24mp. I found one on eBay being sold by a pro who recently had it cleaned by Nikon and had less than 18,000 clicks...for $600 delivered.

I was very happy with it as it looked mint when I received it.

The D610 also has a built-in autofocus motor so it will work perfectly with older AF Nikkors and AF-D Nikkors many of which will save big bucks over AF-S versions. You can get a 50mm f/1.8D lens for $100 or less. I got a 50mm f/1.4D for $130 but that was a lucky buy.

Whatever you decide...happy shooting.

Nice, a D610 with 18,000 clicks for $600 looks like a very good find.

Let me know if you, at the end of your deliberations, decide to get a D700. I have one with an extremely low count (I need to check it) since I have a D750 and a D850. The D700 has been resting for several years and I would prefer for it to have a new home with a UHH member.

Selling lens because I’ve only used it a handful of times since purchasing new in 2019. The lens is in pristine condition and has been well protected. US model purchased from B&H. I’m including a heavy padded case and 95mm CPL from Breakthrough Photography.

$700 plus shipping.

Excellent price for an excellent lens! I paid much more than $700 for a used one in "like new" condition. It should sell very fast!

So, I’m thinking of buying a Nikon AF-S FX NIKKOR 200-500mm f/5.6E ED Vibration Reduction Zoom Lens with Auto Focus. I have a Nikon D7500 DX camera and this is a FX lens. Will it still work on my camera? I would have to spend $1400 on a lens that won’t work on my camera!! Thanks for any help on this!! ☺️☺️

It will work fine. Actually, it will produce better corner photo quality (FX lens produces a larger image spot on the D7500 sensor). Shop around, the price should be less than $1,400! BTW, I bought a "used" one through MPB (Brooklyn, NY) and it was in like-new condition.

Heads up: If you use Topaz Sharpen AI , it is quite important to have the most recent version 3.3.5. The previous version unfortunately can cause image shift which can cause halo artifact.

I have Topaz AI 3.3.5 running on my Mac.

I doubt humidity would be a problem in the mountains, even in Colombia.
