Cathedral De San Juan De Puerto Rico, the oldest church in the Americas 1511
My first thought was Florida, but when I saw "Americas," I figured it had to be farther south. Beautiful shot.

The Mayan were already here, and they also worshipped. Yours is the oldest European church, not the first. Still, it is very beautiful, and well captured. Bet the fans were add-ons since construction. Thanks for bringing it to us.
We, in this modern era are very impressed with ourselves and the structures that are the results of the work of architects, engineers and construction contractors, with the help of computerized design software and structural analysis.
The most beautiful and enduring buildings on earth were constructed hundreds or even thousands of years ago by architects and builders who didn't have those modern advantages. Some of those buildings took decades to build and they didn't even have huge construction cranes and bulldozers or even power tools.
I used to be part of the construction industry and was very proud of my work, Still, I am very humbled by my recognition of the skills and abilities and ingenuity of the people who built those amazing structures.

Great shot! How many poor people could have been helped if they built an equally large but simple structure?
