I am fairly new to being serious about improving my images. I have not posted any photos yet but when I do I will state that constructive suggestions would be welcomed. Personally I would not offer my opinion unless it is asked for. As stated a bit earlier some folks are happy where they are with their images and others wish to improve. It is hard to tell the difference.

Thanks for stopping by and voting Rickoshay! It's always nice to see a new visitor! BTY, why haven't you posted any photos for the rest of us to see? Just curious!

I am still lurking! 😉 Since joining UHH I have read almost every topic in the daily email and have learned a ton. I will post some photos very soon.

I just received mine that I purchased from MPB. It was listed as “like new”. Came in the original box with all documentation. It looks and works like a brand new lens. I couldn’t be happier and I saved over $150 bucks.

I use a shot of the moon. It is only a little older than the man in the mirror.

.........While the answers make a lot of sense the fact that the topic makes us stop and think about the logic of how our cameras work is educational and helpful.

I learn soooooo much from you folks! I look forward to my email every day. Seriously. I have not missed a day since I was accepted into the group back in October.

I lived in that area 2000/2010 and had to relocate back to Southern California due to an employment transfer. I miss it terribly at times. We were at almost 5000 feet and I don’t miss shoveling snow though.
Virginia City has fantastic photo ops. And of course Lake Tahoe and surrounding areas. Almost endless photo taking fun!
I am envious.

My husband and I just moved to Nevada from gorgeous Hot Springs Village, Arkansas.
Although the wildlife, birding and social aspects were a main priority for us, the weather was NOT.
We are original California's and retired to Homossassa, Florida location back in 2004. Eight years later moved to Arkansas due to the humidity conditions in Florida. Wellll, Arkansas isn't much different, humidity wise.
Now, as of October 2018 we reside in Sparks, Nevada, which has the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets we have ever witnessed. It must be the 4,000 foot altitude or the mountains surrounding the area. Plus no humidity, only dry,dry air. Yea!

We enjoy taking day trips in our new location. Birding, flowering desert, mountains, Lake Tahoe. We are open to travel.
Any suggestions?

Happy to see these. I will be purchasing a Tamron 18-400mm within the next couple of weeks for my 80D. Thanks for sharing.

..........And lastly, consider hosting a discussion topic about how to make moon or sunset photos something other than "identical." Please join the small group who would like to see UHH be about learning/sharing/teaching/inspiring and don't align with the grumpy old folks who are here only to complain. Let's learn together!

I have an 80 D. I am not computer illiterate by any means. I share your issues. The procedures are archaic, counter intuitive, and unreliable. Pretty sad implementation for such a great camera.

Is it just me or do others have trouble setting up the Canon to computer, smartphone wifi connections. It seems incredibly difficult.
