I agree with all the comments regarding the photo tour. Just got back from Antelope. Got some great shots but wish I had booked the photo tour to give me more time and less people. Tripod would have been great, it's darker than you think. Be prepared for a dusty bumpy ride out there. Enjoy!
Thanks everyone for the information. Lots of knowledge in this group!
On a recent vacation I had some perfect dark skies. Nikon D750. 16mm wide angle. Full manual at 30 sec shutter. Resulting photos looked great but under high magnification I did notice some star trails. My question: Is there a standard shutter speed that eliminates the trailing? I completely understand focal length will produce different results. My line of thinking is that focal length won't matter when images are enlarged to the same size.
Thanks
Just returned from the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley and Zion. D750 and the 24-120. Very pleased. Excellent all around lens.
I also received an email notification for my 750 last week.

I use Photoshop Elements and the burn/dodge feature is in the toolbox. Quick and easy.
The feature is under Picture Control in the Shooting menu. Select vivid, normal or standard, then right toggle for a sub-menu.
Yes, Picture Control. I have my D750 set to vivid and level 7 with sharpness. Photos really "pop"
Just wondering if there are any disadvantages to these settings. Opinions welcome☺
Folks,
Having just upgraded to FF, I have been experimenting with the sharpness control on the D750 and realized there is a noticeable difference between default and +7. I understand this is digital enhancement but the images really do appear sharper, particularly at magnification.
Opinions pro and con regarding this option.
Thanks
Absolutely love my 750. If you couple it with the 24-120, I would also recommend the optional battery pack, just to give some balance. The 24-120 is fairly large and heavy and without the battery pack it seemed a little bit "front heavy". Go for it!
Been using it for several years. Love it and so do my clients. Having said that, I do agree with most everyone that it can over correct. But the nice thing with the sliders you can easily see just how much correction is natural. Well worth the purchase price.
